I made a dolman gown for my Friday wear

avatar

Hello everyone. You are welcome to my blog. I hope you all had a great week, I am happy to post here once again

I shared about how I sew a dolman gown for my sis some weeks ago, she loves how free it is, then I used the remaining fabric for my own and I wore it as my Friday wear.

One of the interesting part in fashion designing is you know how to manage fabrics even when others see that it's impossible, considering that I have a slim figure too, I made use of the remaining 1 yard with 11 inches.

The measurement I used

Waist-27 inches

Burst-34 inches

Hip -36 inches

I folded into four then I marked the burst, waist and hip, I added 4 inches allowance. I made the neck 3 inches wide and 5 inches depth for the front. The back is just 2 inches in depth(how long it will extend downwards)

I cut the facing(this is to turn the neck region)

Then I did the hemming

The sleeve was looking short so I added a band using dull face
