Some Hive-Engine Picks and Positioning

Market market market market. Sometimes I make them and sometimes I break them, but we keep using the tools at our disposal to work towards a better future.

When I started the SYNERGY Fund, it wasn't just to make money, it was to support promising projects in their pursuit of a better world. We are building a better future, not just token schemes to make ourselves a quick buck.

Here are some of my current picks for HOLDS and LONGS.

Long HIVE

I continue to claw out more HIVE and power it up. Whether it's buy low/sell high with HIVE/HBD, or buy low/sell high with hive-engine tokens, the result is profit in HIVE and I want to power that up.

I use powered up HIVE to give out private leases for HIVE payment as well as some public programs such as @indiaunited (HIVE payment) and @leo.voter (LEO payout).

I am also providing 10k HIVE of liquidity to the BEESWAP swap.hive/hive liquidity pool, which pays out daily in HIVE as well as some BXT rewards.

Hold LEO (and Long LBI)

They keep building, and staying active is more than half the game at times like these, during the grind. I was greatly impressed about the quick pHBD delivery, and I think the team over there will continue to work and expand, they have reached escape velocity as a project.

Whether that means the token price will go up in HIVE terms....well, we can't really know that. Its been getting beaten like a dead horse though, so I will keep holding and earning that LEO, both through leo.voter delegation and LBI weekly divs.

Speaking of LBI, a consistently undervalued token for how much LEO is really backing these. I continue to list low orders and smile as these tokens fall into my wallet. I wrote an update specifically about LBI here.

Long PKM:SPS LP

I am going long PKM, and the right way to do that is in the PKM:SPS Liquidity Provider Pool. The PeakMonsters Team is converting the market fees from their popular and superior market interface and putting them as pool rewards, I am earning daily PKM, Swap.HIVE, SPS and DEC for participating there, to the tune of 73.6% apr currently!

Incidentally this bet gives us exposure to Splinterlands, the top play2earn game in the world.

Hold/Long BRO

BRO is a unique project, even for a fund based model. You have to trust @raymondspeaks first, and then after that its a basket of assets, a community of projects and people, as well as a voting trail.

It doesn't have a lot of HP now, but Ray assures us he will power up 'soon'. But every 10 BRO you have you can get a 1% vote from the @brofund trail. To become a dragon, 1000 BRO are required.

It does have a killer Splinterlands deck and a top player competing in many events and tournaments, plus a full tract of land. More Splinterland exposure for our portfolios, and over the week some good DEC and SPS rewards do come in. LEO is the other top div from BRO, although it gives a few other shit tokens as well, like SIM and SPT. I have been swapping the SPT to SPS and pushing that into the PKM:SPS pool.

And don't forget the discord community, I often chat with different members of the community, especially the #dragon-lounge, where many large project operators hang out. There is definitely some value in being able to talk to diverse people about different ideas within the realm of both crypto and life.

This is up to date according to Ray, but I don't know what all he is adding up in these totals.

Long SEED

After selling much of my SEED between 3-4 dollars, I am now reaccumulating, and often at under NAV price, which can be checked at any time here. Its about 1.996 dollars per SEED at the time of writing, 67.3% of that in DAO tokens.

Reminder you can use the SEED:SWAP.HBD pool to take small bites or small dumps one way or another, but on the market it trades against Swap.HIVE.

HOLD BYT

I have been very happy with my BYT, I am always a bit nervous about relative values between tokens, such as Blurt and Hive, but the indirect exposure to Cosmos chain and ATOM has been very nice.

Long CTP

I have taken a position in CTP, with their new development of Listnerds, its great to see that this team and tribe is still active and building.

Great investments depend on the price you get in, but I think I have found a nice low to stack a solid bag of this tribe to make a long term bet on.

Hold Swap.HBD:Swap.BUSD LP

With the new 20% apr on HBD, I much of the LP has shifted out of the Swap.HBD:Swap.BUSD pool. This has left the BXT apr at ~23% apr, and don't forget the fee apr, which last checked totals another ~2.5% apr according to well-known user tonimontana.

I like to have some in 'stable coins' even thought the USD is not stable, I do still need to take money out into the real world, and the benefit to being half in busd, which has a lot more markets than HBD at currently, is very nice.

I have some other picks too, but am I not as sure about them. There are other projects that I like, but that doesn't necessarily make it the best time to buy them.

For example I really still love UTOPIS, I think its a great project, but with the high price of HIVE, I think it could continue to struggle. I do delegate some HP to @utopis and so receive UTOPIS rewards in compensation. But to pick a bottom for UTOPIS price, one would have to be relatively certain that the HIVE price would be going down.

Of course its important to pick good projects, the most important maybe, but its also extremely important to understand the right timing of the market when trading on something like hive-engine.
