Hello PhotoFeed friends,

my entry for the PhotoFeed Contest - Cityscape Photography Round 22 with the title "One Fortress, many Locks" shows the view from the Love Lock Bridge across to the old town of Salzburg and the Hohensalzburg Fortress enthroned above it.

The other pictures - the view of the so-called love lock bridge, the Wilhelm-Kaufmann-Steg (formerly Makartsteg) and the detail shot of some love locks - are out of competition.

The attachment of love locks to bridges, which has long since become a tradition in many places, is extensively cultivated here. The locks are fastened by couples as a token of love, but also to ask for children. After attaching the lock, the key is thrown into the water.

mein Beitrag zum PhotoFeed Contest - Cityscape Photography Round 22 mit dem Titel "Eine Festung, viele Schlösser" zeigt den Blick von der Salzburger Liebesschloßbrücke hinüber zur Altstadt von Salzburg und die darüber thronende Festung Hohensalzburg.

Die weiteren Bilder - die Sicht auf die sogenannte Liebesschloss-Brücke von Salzburg, den Wilhelm-Kaufmann-Steg (ehemals Makartsteg) und die Detailaufnahme einiger Liebesschlösser - laufen außer Konkurrenz. Das seit längerer Zeit an vielen Orten zur Tradition avancierte Befestigen von Liebesschlössern auf Brücken wird hier ausgiebigst gepflegt. Die Schlösser werden von Liebespaaren als Liebesbeweis aber auch um für Nachwuchs zu bitten befestigt. Nach dem Anbringen des Schlosses wird der Schlüssel ins Wasser geworfen.
