Quant Technology - A Blockchain Operating System

(Edited)

I believe it was only a few days ago when I wrote a post about my crypto bag. In that post, I talked about the different projects I’m currently invested in, and a few others I have my eyes on. Ironically, the one coin I’m picking for this bull was not in the bag list. Today, I’ll be diving into why I think QNT can take me out of the trenches. Lol

A polkadot competitive

One of the main solutions polkadot offers is interoperability. This was part of the reasons I had DOT in my bag. This, and substrate, polkadot innovative way of allowing anyone create their own custom blockchain.

Here’s what that has to do with Quant

Quant (in my humble opinion) is Polkadot’s biggest competitor, especially on the interoperability front. If you don’t understand what interoperability is about, it’s basically the ability of things to communicate and share data. In this case, we’re talking about the ability of multiple blockchains to communicate.

The interesting thing is that Quant is not even a blockchain. It’s just a technology that acts like an API. It’s solution to interoperability is Overledger Technology, an operating system which basically connects multiple blockchains, allowing you to build projects or dapps on many different blockchains at once, leveraging the competitive advantages of each of them. This way, you don’t have to complete re-code or move projects or dapps to another blockchain. Because of this, it’s tagged as A blockchain operating system.

Why is this important?

New blockchains emerge daily, and have both different strengths as well as weaknesses. No one blockchain has all the best features. Each has a solution they aim to solve, and so might have flaws in other areas. With Quant, you don’t need to build your project on one blockchain.

For example, Let’s say you wanted to build a cross-boarder payment system. Overledger will allow you leverage Bitcoin’s security and network stability, whiles leveraging Solana’s high transaction processing ability, and Ethereum’s smart contract processing, as well as Ripple’s decentralized payment system.

It’s like, why build on one blockchain, when you can build on several?

Think of it in a much simpler way like this – assume there was a phone that combines both apple and samsung’s great cameras and slick designs with One Plus’s awesome batteries. If both were the same price, would you rather buy the iPhone or that Quantum Phone (see what I did there😂?) knowing the battery health challenge that sometimes come with apple and samsung devices?

Price and A little bit of tokenomics

Quant is currently trading at $114 as of the time I wrote this post. It hit its all time high somewhere in 2021’s bull, and so is down 73% relative to the ATH. It's a sleeping giant currently in an accumulation phase if you ask me.

Interestingly, only 14.6 million Quant can ever exist. This is a very small total supply compared to what I’ve seen in other coins. But what is even more interesting is that 12 million of the 14.6 million is already in circulation. That suggests QNT will become scarce real soon, and as we know it, scarcity influences price, especially for a token that has a utility like Quant has. I beleive that even if Quant does not go big in this bull, it will in the next, and I have a lot of time 🙂.

Overledger is primarily why I think Quant will get a lot of adoption and moon. Of course, this is not financial advise, just my probably very wrong analysis and thoughts about selecting Quant as my bull project. DYOR!

This sounds like an interesting project thanks for exposing me to it man! I remember when I was doing digging into projects like these. It was fun to learn the ins and outs! I’ll have to keep this one in mind, there’s so much possibility with this stuff we are only scratching the surface!

Yeah, man. I found this one about 3 months ago, I think. Been looking into it since then. There's actually a lot more to it than what I wrote here. For instance, the CEO, has a lot of experience in the marketting and finance world, and has even worked as a top dawg at mastercard before.

I love doing the digging and finding some of these too, sometimes, especially if I feel like it has potential:)
