RE: Walkthrough Hive Sucre's Circular Economy

Indeed although the scale is still tiny, at the proof-of-concept level, it appears that what we are seeing is a true circular economy, with purchases of goods and services and money coming full circle back to the starting point.
This is the real purpose of crypto. Yes it takes money from the DHF and thus costs the Hive community to make it happen, but such is the nature of business. You have to spend some money to get things started - that's the very definition of investment.

For something this early on, I'm ok with a tiny scale. The growth rate is pretty impressive though, and I love it that they started to grow an HBD-based economy rather than take the HBD and go directly to the exchanges.
I agree, we need to pay to get things started at first. But Latin America is a very fertile soil for Hive to grow exponentially. And I like we are trying different things over there, mainly in Venezuela, because awareness for Hive grows, and that's the first step we need before adoption.
Considering how Bitcoin Beach made the dominoes fall to make El Salvador accept $BTC as legal tender and receive international attention, I would say we are not spending enough on this. Stablecoins loose value over time due to inflation. I think we should be utilizing at least 80% of what is available for daily funding from DHF.
