Microblogging is something you would see many big brands doing it. A microblog is what it sounds like, the smaller version of a blog post. Platforms like Twitter, Tumblr etc. are regarded as microblogging platforms since they rely on brief text posts to attract users' attention.

More businesses are now incorporating microblogging into their content strategy seeing the value it creates for content being shared by businesses and help grow their businesses.

The question is, why are more brands doing microblogging?

Takes Less Time

While a good content is important, it could be challenging to share that on consistent basis, this is where the importance of microblogs come in. You might not have time for writing 800-2000 words while reviewing it carefully but microblogging is much less intimidating.

A microblog is a quick and effective way of delivering and engaging message about a new product or service, a short summary of the best practices by the industry, a customer testimonial or whatever content your customers want.

While a good content is a key, it also have to be consistently shared in order to keep your customers engaged and interested. Through microblogging, you can keep your conversation going with your current and prospective customers.

More Engagement

Do you know what does most social content have in common? Its brief and easy to understand. That being said, you can share things in a fly. The more you have communication with your customers, the more you are building the trust and stronger relationship.

Take for example LinkedIn which offers B2B businesses a good opportunity to share information which could add value to their readers. They can showcase their brand as an expert in their field doing microblogging on LinkedIn.

Fast and Direct Communication with the Audience

The good thing about microblogging is that its at your fingertips. Its ready to go whenever you want to send a brief, simple or a quick message directly to your audience.

With microblogging, you get the mobility and flexibility of communication. Microblogging could also be used in promoting a condensed version of a blog post.

Microblogging is an excellent way of interacting with your audience. It could be used to give your readers a bite-sized insights into your brand and your business.

This is why its good to have microblogging on Hive as well with the name #LeoThreads, which could be a game changer for the platform.
