Hive Power!
I need to write this down quickly before I lose it in my brain. I can't trust my brain that's why I have notes on my desk (also I'm getting old I'm losing some of my memory 🤣) and thankfully we have Hive to write articles on how we feel then I can reflect back on it. @ph1102 wrote an article about 3 types of income with his Walk and Talk Series.
EARNED INCOME = Your daily job which includes any of these examples.. Office job, work from home online job, labor job, sales and marketing. You can add more on the comment section below. To boil it down as long as you are putting in physical effort time and energy that's earned income. I have earned income which is work from home online job (customer support representative).
PASSIVE INCOME = This is financial freedom either you sleep and wake up you made money already here are the examples that I have my Tricycle Lines and my Tourist Boat. These two generates Php10,000 pesos ($172) a month.
PORTFOLIO INCOME = When @ph1102 mentioned it I was confused I'm talking to myself isn't it that portfolio income is the same as passive income? I did a quick research and found it, I have been doing it all along inside of Hive and other cryptocurrencies. Note: I always think how can I learn from this new information that I have, I go to YouTube search portfolio income and there it is! That's measurable progress in reasonable time by Jim Rohn. Here is the proof that I have portfolio income...
As you can see 53.18% of my portfolio is in Hive Power and this is growing everyday it's compounding. I did some investments here and there (diversify) and put it all to Hive Power. I have a short term goal which is 10k Hive power as of writing here is my HP.
I'm getting there already plus 9 days away on my payday on earned income. This will push it roughly around 4k-5k HP. I believe in the future of Hive all the income that I generated on earned and passive will be diverted to my portfolio income. Once Hive hit the moon and I believe we are hitting the moon then I can diversify it back to passive income and vice versa.
The end goal for me is to have financial freedom. This is why I keep telling my friends knowledge is power. The internet is so vast that you can learn from it in a few minutes of your time. I will stay out of the talk about people who are in here for a quick buck that's them and I respect that. I'm here for the long run!
I would like to say thank you to @ph1102 with this new information (yo buddy who would have thought I'm doing it already sub consciously 🤣). Thank you also to the people who keeps writing articles everyday I'm learning a lot from you guys. Of course thank you to Hive Blockchain this platform helps me a lot, the knowledge I got from the past 2 months and 2 weeks is huge for me. I will keep storing all the learnings that I got from here (write good articles for me please 🤣).

The mentioned "portfolio income" is still passive income. "Earned income" is synonymous to active income (Passive vs Active). I think the reason they wanted to classify separately as "Portfolio income" which includes soft investments (e.g cryptocurrency) is because risk may not be the same as the traditional ones. For example, your crypto portfolio does earn you crypto; however, in terms of peso, its value fluctuates depending on the market. This gives you different forms of risk (e.g. currency risk, volatility risk).
For your passive income sources, you can also treat them as a portfolio of business especially once you get to build more. I wish I could start such passive investments like you did. Will check out more on your future posts. :)
Thank you. Lahat naman ng investments may risk malaki nga lang ang risk sa portfolio income specially with stocks kaya ayaw ko siya. Pero may paraan naman kasi diyan you just need to read and learn then decide if you want to go in.
Passive income is the main key for my older days and I try to increase it in multiple ways, not just on hive.
