The Rabona Chronicles #12: Back to Division 1

Chapter 12 Rabona.png

A very smooth season in which we have won the division without any problems. The good thing is that we have achieved promotion to Division 1 without any problems. The bad part is that, being the only human team in the division, we have not been challenged in any of the 30 games of the season. Even against the npc teams we didn't suffer so it was a boring season. Back to DIvision 1 where we will suffer again. The squad is not yet up to the level required for anything more than a desperate search for relegation. Last season we were relegated on the last day. Let's see what the next season has in store for us. But first, a review of this season in Division 2.

Also a quiet season in terms of the development of the club's facilities. We have not made any major changes as we are waiting for the completion of the improvements that were pending from last season. As a result, the current level of the facilities is as follows:

1.- Stadium: level 10
2.- Catering: 8
3.- Shop: 0
4.- Hotel: 9 to 10
5.- Parking: 9 to 10
6.- Office Building: 8 to 9
7.- Building Yard: 9
8.- Youth Academy: 9
9.- Training Centre: 7

Probably the next improvement we will undertake is to upgrade the Youth Academy to the next level. The current level has left us with some good players who are an important part of the current squad and we will be looking to continue on that path with another level of this important facility.

This is an important moment this season. There are several important players whose contracts are coming to an end and, with promotion to Division 1, we are going to have to make a tremendous effort to keep them in the squad. Next season will be important to see the importance of the revenue from ticket sales and to be able to plan for the medium term future with the stadium at level 10. So, these are the players who have finished their contracts and the decisions we have taken regarding their continuity or not in the squad:

1.- Milo Stromberg - GK 25 yo - 16211 RBN - Renewed.
2.- Matthieu Lerroux - DEF 26 - 6787 RBN - Renewed.
3.- Liam Douglas - DEF 24 - 14747 RBN - Renewed.
4.- Mathis Colin - DEF 24 - 19770 RBN - Not renewed.
5.- Tony Tian - MID 27 - RBN - Renewed.
6.- Ignacio Sánchez - OFF 25 - RBN - Renewed.
7.- Katiusca Arias - OFF 27 - RBN - Renewed.

Six players remain in the squad and one leaves to give minutes to Tim Schwaiger who looks set to be the best defender in the squad in the short term. We are left with five defenders in the squad, which is more than enough to face this coming season.

Very very boring season. I was the only human team and the only games we played were the ones between the four npc teams. So, a quiet season with no challenge to overcome in which we finished first and managed to return to Division 1 a season later.

The ranking makes it clear how the season has gone. First and a long way behind the second-placed team. On to the next one.

With no major expenditure and a modest attendance at our stadium, we have managed to end the season with a slight profit. Division 2 is not the time for big investments and we will wait to see the financial result after a full season in Division 1 with the stadium at level 10 to plan for the future and the next investments in the facilities. This has been the balance of income and expenses this season in Division 2.

PARRAFO 5.png

A very quiet season in which, I'm not going to deceive you, we have been practically on holiday and we have not made any major changes to either the staff or the facilities. Next season will be key and we will evaluate, depending on the economic results, the next steps to take in terms of investment in the club's infrastructure.
