News coming from Apex Legends Global Series. The Apex Legends Global Series is a global competitive esports tournament series for the video game Apex Legends run by Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment.

Genburten from DarkZero and ImperialHal from TSM got hacked during this big competition in Apex Legends. Genburten and ImperialHal hacked situation videos are posted in X (Twitter). The hacker was identified as Destroyer2009 and R4ndom through Genburten's video. As a result, the ALGS Final is postponed.

After an investigation by AntiCheatPD. It's a Remote Code Execution (RCE) exploit and has not confirmed the attack's root source yet.

For safety reasons, especially for streamers, avoiding the related applications is best whether it's the game itself (Apex) or the anti-cheat (EAC). There is a rumor that the hackers are already on the run for around a month in Apex.

Additional information: LookAtMyMeat1 posted on X about the list of games that are using EAC (Easy Anti Cheat). It's not full yet, but I hope readers will be aware of this security vulnerability for a moment. Let's hope the EA, Respawn, or EAC team will fix this.

*This case is known in the cyber security and Apex-related community. So, I think I'll share it for more awareness. No need to panic 👍.

The EAC Team is confident that it's not from EAC itself. So... Based on AntiCheatPD, The problem lies in Apex Legends itself 🤔. Well, we'll see how the EA and Respawn team state about this matter.
