Just a follow up from last week. Did taskmaster4450 try out Chaos Legion and the new starter pack? Does he find it better compared to the previous starter pack?
During the show, there should be a small lottery we all guess whether Task did or did not.
I will guess Taskmatser4450 did not try out Chaos Legion.
What will help Hive get more into the mainstream? We have community, developers and use case. Does it just need more adopters?
General knowledge spread by word of mouth. I am by no means an expert. When people start learning more about crypto and can relate to the security keys, we will see more rapid adoption.
For example, we have millions of people flocking to services like CoinBase for their crypto needs, however, they do not really own or control that crypto, and everything is fee-based.
On Hive you have the keys the crypto is yours, you are in full control, and there are no fees.
When more people can relate we will see a huge surge in numbers.
I think part of the adoption has to do with ease of use and getting fiat money in and out of the Hive platform as well.
Yes I found that learning curve to be a bit much lol
I've gotten really into splinterlands because of chaos, but I have no interest in playing the game. What's the best methodology to figuring out which cards are better to sell vs rent?
I'm up to 3 GFLs (@jongolson only has 1, so I'm better lol), and I'm holding those for the long term, but what other cards would be a good long term hold in your opinion?
Thank you in advance for your answers, and just to reiterate, I have 3 GFLs and Jon only has 1.
You should win the best question prize because that one is the winner. There should be another live show called "Splinterlands Properties Flip or Rent"
Can't wait for this answer.
Appreciate you, thanks for rubbing it in!
Don't feel bad your deck is awesome!!
Somehow Blain you just read my mind.
I will think of another question now lol 😆
Eventually, there will be a global shift to Web3.0. Learning about blockchain technology would be a smart move. Could you recommend a great book or books on the subject?
I love engagement in ctp community

Regarding storing and using crypto: out of so many options, I am wondering if any really stand out. For me (USA) I find Uphold the easiest to transfer into and exchange between currencies. I am now verified on Coinbase (stupid USA "know your customer") and wondering if it is worth getting verified on Binance US (I am guessing what little I had on original Binance was lost long ago.) With my small amounts, I am wanting to focus on just Uphold, but I am also nervous about trusting any one interface. Remember chilly bot? coin pot? paypal cancel culture? I am open to advice.
What keeps me scratching my head is why projects with awesome fundamental use cases and brings actual value to the blockchain space gets completely overlooked for silly things like meme coins and silly jpeg 'collectibles'???
Now with games like Splinterlands, DCITY, and Rising Star, those give actual use case to their NFTs and I get the value in those.
But how do things like punks bring any value outside of a trade value?
But I am just venting here, you don't have to necessarily talk about it on the show, lol.
What is your favorite number of Chaos packs to open at one time? When you open the packs I haven't been able to tell if you're clicking on the cards themselves or are they turning over automatically?
My question is what is Chaos packs all about?
Is it a pack of cards or a card that gives other cards has airdrops?
another question is if you burn a card does that increase the value of that card?
the last question is does hive have a platform where I can create an NFTS?
For Jon: from an affiliate marketing point of view: what is the one centralized platform, do you feel should still be part of an affiliate marketer's day to day?
For Task: is there a company, that is struggling right now; that if they completely overhauled their business and became more crypto related dependent that they would thrive almost instantly?
What is the best advice to give to people that are new to both crypto and Hive?
