EN-PT Noxious Fumes!

Hey guys! The season is almost over here and things are getting a little better now that I decided to try Modern Mode again and completely abandoned Width Mode!

Splinterlands brought many significant changes and I couldn't help but adapt to the new concepts!

The Modern League is paying a good amount of SPS per victory and I have a small amount in stake, so I came to the conclusion that I can play in the Silver Leagues without needing so much rented SPS.

Regarding card rentals, I keep renewing indefinitely, which makes me need DEC and that's why I end up selling part of the profits that I receive net SPS to pay the costs. I have still been at a loss, which means that I will need to take out some of what I accumulated in STAKE to be able to pay the bills.

Fast, Furious and CrazyPhantomBR

Basically, they are quick matches, either due to the few rounds necessary for their outcome, or due to the small number of cards used, and the resulting quick outcome!

These are also matches that differ because I edited them on video, which is much more laborious, which is why there is less text in the post. However, today I had a breakdown with my notebook and OBS stopped working. I'm going to format the machine but first I'm going to make this post :)

Ruleset Analysis

Without further delay, let's get straight to the point!
The match in question featured the following Ruleset:

Firstly note that this battle took place in Modern Mode, where I am playing in the Silver leagues!!

When we have two battle rules, the game becomes interesting because we can make many different combinations making each match more unpredictable! I prefer this to happen because it increases the complexity of the game and I hope to be able to benefit from it. Even though sometimes, just the opposite happens!

With the Noxious Fumes rule, all cards are poisoned at the beginning of the game. This means that the poison will cause 2 points of damage to your health at the end of each round. To take advantage of this weakness, we will explore the use of a summoner that reduces the opponent's life points, thus causing premature eliminations.

However, the second rule Wands Out restricts our deck to only cards with magical attacks. Looking at the available splinters we can see that there are some interesting possibilities, if we use 4 points with a suitable summoner we would have 10 points left to choose cards. Hit points are important, magic resistance too.

My strategy was already formed!

I ended up opting for the level 5 Thaddius Brood summoner that I've been renting, as it makes perfect sense since I'm going to reduce one life point from each opposing card. If the opposing card has 5 life points, for example, it means that it will only have 4 and will therefore be eliminated at the end of the second round, and not at the end of the third round.

Likewise, I will invest in a very powerful attacker:

^{Usut, Legendary level 2, own}

This card will be my only one in battle. It all depends on him. Many life points, and the possibility of activating the Bloodlust upgrade can make it a war machine!

We'll see if this plan leads me to victory!

The opening of the first round shows us the opponent's intention to eliminate me using magical attacks. Luckily I have a little protection from this using my summoner which will nullify your magical strength upgrade.

The second round begins with the opponent doomed as his first card has only two life points and will be killed through poison. The sum of the opponent's attack points is 3, so I'm calm as I still have 7 life points!

It's the third round thatIt gives peace of mind because I have four life points and the opponent only has 1. On my turn I will finish him off and the game ends with my victory. A close-up to see how many life points are left:

With only 2 life points I would be poisoned at the end of the round, ending the game. Luckily I managed to stay alive long enough to finish off the opposing cards!

Conclusion

Victory!!!

The opponent used a summoner that enhanced his magical attacks and also a card immune to poison. This wasn't enough to support my strategy and even though I was a lower level than him (he used a level 6 summoner and I used a level 5 summoner) I still managed to achieve a victory!

Fala pessoal! Por aqui a temporada quase acabando e as coisas estão ficando um pouco melhores agora que resolvi experimentar novamente o Modo Modern e abandonei completamente o Modo Wid!

Splinterlands trouxe muitas mudanças significativas e eu não poderia deixar de me adaptar aos novos conceitos!

A Liga Moderna está pagando uma boa quantidade de SPS por vitória e eu tenho pouca quantidade em stake, então cheguei a conclusão que consigo jogar nas Ligas Prata sem precisar de tanto SPS alugado.

A respeito do aluguel de cards, continuo renovando indefinidamente, o que me faz precisar de DEC e por isso acabo vendendo parte dos lucros que recebo SPS líquido para pagar os custos. Ainda tenho ficado no prejuízo, o que significa que precisarei tirar um pouco do que acumulei em STAKE para poder pagar as contas.

Fast, Furious and CrazyPhantomBR

Basicamente são partidas rápidas, seja pelos poucos rounds necessários para seu desfecho, seja pela pequena quantidade de cards utilizados, e consequente rápido desfecho!

Também são partidas que se diferenciam por eu ter editado em vídeo, que é bem mais trabalhoso, por isto menos texto na postagem. Porém hoje tive um colapso com meu notebook e o OBS parou de funcionar. Vou formatar a máquina mas antes vou fazer essa postagem :)

Análise do Ruleset

Sem mais demora vamos direto ao que interessa!
A partida em questão apresentou o seguinte Ruleset:

Primeiramente observe que esta batalha ocorreu no Modern Mode, onde estou jogando nas ligas Prata!!

Quando temos duas regras de batalha, o jogo fica interessante pois podemos fazer muitas combinações diferentes fazendo com que cada partida fique mais imprevisível! Eu prefiro que isso aconteça pois assim aumenta a complexidade do jogo e eu tenho esperanças de conseguir me beneficiar disso. Mesmo que as vezes, acontece justamente o contrário!

Com a regra Noxious Fumes todos os cards são envenenados no começo da partida. Isso significa que o veneno irá causar 2 pontos de dano em seu vida ao final de cada round. Para aproveitar essa fragilidade, vamos explorar o uso de um invocador que diminua os pontos de vida do adversário, causando assim eliminações prematuras.

Porém a segunda regra Wands Out restringe nosso baralho para apenas cards com ataques mágicos. Olhando os splinters disponíveis podemos veriicar que existem algumas possibilidades interessantes, se usarmos 4 pontos com um invocador adequado nos restaria 10 pontos para escolher cards. Pontos de vida são importantes, resistência à magia também.

A minha estratégia já estava formada!

Acabei optando pelo invocador Thaddius Brood level 5 que tenho alugado, pois faz todo sentido uma vez que vou reduzir um ponto de vida de cada card adversário. Se o card adversário tiver 5 pontos de vida, por exemplo, significa que ele ficará com apenas 4 e desta forma será eliminado no final do segundo round, e não no final do terceiro round.

Da mesma forma, vou investir em um atacante muito poderoso:

Esse card será meu único em batalha. Tudo depende dele. Muitos pontos de vida, e a possibilidade de ativa o upgrade por Bloodlust podem fazer dele uma máquina de guerra!

Esta partida ocorreu na liga Prata 1, Modern Mode, neste fim de temporada, e pode ser assistida através do link abaixo, ou do vídeo a seguir:

A abertura do primeiro round nos mostra a intenção do adversário em me liquidar usando ataques mágicos. Por sorte tenho um pouco de proteção quanto a isso usando meu invocador que irá anular seu upgrade de força mágica.

O segundo round já começa com o adversário condenado pois seu primeiro card possui apenas dois pontos de vida e será liquidado através do veneno. A soma dos pontos de ataque do adversário é 3, então estou tranquilo pois ainda tenho 7 pontos de vida!

É o terceiro round que me dá tranquilidade pois teho quatro pontos de vida e o adversário só tem 1. No meu turno irei liquidá-lo e a partida acaba com minha vitória. Um close para vermos quantos pontos de vida sobraram:

Com apenas 2 pontos de vida eu seria envenenado no final do round, terminando o jogo. Por sorte consegui me manter vivo tempo suficiente para acabar com os cards adversários!

Conclusão

Vitória!!!

O adversário utilizou um invocador que potencializava seus ataques mágicos e também um card imune à veneno. Isso não foi suficiente para segurar minha estratégia e mesmo sendo de level menor do que ele (ele usou invocador level 6 e eu usei invocador level 5) ainda consegui arrancar uma vitória!
