What is COM?

During these stressful and uncertain times, we see it important for people to have a place where they can have a laugh or two. We aim to be that place.

Comedy Open Mic is a community where you share your comedy posts. Can be routines, rants, stories, pet peeves, poems, songs, talking about parts of your day, whatever it may be, just make sure it is humourous.

At COM, we understand that comedy is versatile and comes in different forms, so we accept all forms of it.

The Comedy Open Mic Contest runs for two weeks per round for the next two weeks before it is turned into monthly.

@lisfabian I just found out of the post made about april fool but i did not use the contest tags, can i edit my post and submit.

@amirtheawesome1 would i be breaking any rule by editing the post, adding the required tags and updating?

There are no limits to entries in general. You can have one every day.

Please if I understand perfectly what I read from @lisfabian post, are we to write any funny post that was an April Fool? What if I witnessed an April Fool that wasn't funny at all? Can I write about it?

Also must the post be centered around April Fool?

Nope. Our contest/community is just about what's funny, no restrictions to themes or even number of entries. I will make it clearer on Thursday's Newsletter.

Alright, I have talked to the other HiQ members. We would like to sponsor your showcase with 5 HIQS per entry for two weeks. Making it 50 HIQS total assuming you always have 5 entries. We would like to rather have a short term commitment, but if we see a lot of your community start reading the @hiq.magazine we might prolong it :)

It would be nice if we get 1-2 lines where we can explain our project in your showcase. We will also have a joke contest in our next issue that will be released on April 28th.
