Mundane Life | A Not So Great Start For the Year and 3 Of My Best Drawings Using UNI Posca Markers

January is coming to an end, and while many may be enjoying a great start, it's been quite the opposite for me. Right from the beginning of the year, I was sick with Covid, followed by very nasty Long Covid symptoms that led to a trip to the emergency room three days ago. However, I don't want to talk about it because it's filled with discouragement.

During my recovery, I refrained from doing a lot of things to concentrate on rebuilding my immune system and achieving a speedy recovery. Over the past three weeks, I spent a lot of time binge-watching Netflix documentaries. Typically, I don't indulge in such activities and prefer reading a book instead. However, the persistent headaches hindered my ability to engage in reading.

Despite my binge-watching habit, it proved to be productive as I successfully wrote three HIVE posts (here, here, and here) in the Movies and TV Shows Community. Though I've zero knowledge of creating good reviews, I hope my posts don't come across as unnecessary ramblings 😅.

As for art, did I create anything over the past few weeks? Well, I did, but not as productively as I would have liked. When I'm unwell, I require time to reignite my creativity. Nevertheless, I managed to make some sketches in my sketchbook. I purchased a set of UNI Posca markers in pastel shades a couple of months ago after being inspired by someone using them here on HIVE.

I created some drawings using them, along with other mediums, and here are the best three.

💔 Torn 💔

Feeling torn is like being stuck in a tough emotional battle. It's when your heart and mind are fighting over decisions, making everything feel confusing. It's a vulnerable feeling, showing how conflicting desires can make life complicated.

🌿 Growth 🌿

Growth is a journey of transformation, a change from one version of oneself to another. It involves learning from experiences, adapting to challenges, and embracing change. Like a seed blossoming into a tree, personal growth is a continuous process that shapes us into stronger, wiser people.

❎ Boundaries ✅

Boundaries are like your personal limits, protecting your well-being. They're not walls but guidelines, showing what's acceptable for you, and what's not. Setting boundaries is taking care of yourself, and making sure your connections are healthy. It means knowing when to say 'no' and creating a space where you can be your best without feeling overwhelmed.

Thank you for reading and leaving a comment, and for following too! Thank you, I appreciate it a lot 🙏.

Sorry to hear about your covid situation

The initial respiratory symptoms weren't so bad but the subsequent symptoms of Long Covid were nasty. Those who think it was just like the flu, were wrong.

Again, thank you and happy new year to you too :)

I knoww. I felt like after I got Covid that one time. Now, whenever I cough it took forever to stop 🙁 I believe that Covid has something to do with this.

Oh my, POSCA markers. It's so expensive I can't afford but would love to have a set. <3

They are expensive 😭. One of my 'art dreams' is to own Caran D'ache Neocolor 2 but we don't have that here unless I buy from overseas. Several years ago, I communicated with a French Hiver, and she mentioned that Caran D'ache products were quite affordable in France. Maybe you can check it out too 😉

I hope you are feeling better already now dear. We thought COVID is gone but it's still there lurking. I had COVID too again last September twice already first one was 2021 all of us, my husband and son. Last September good thing it was just me for two weeks it was really very nasty then when I thought I was well my vertigo followed. So for a month I was just in bed. So I know how and what you feel dearest.

I pray that your family will not get the virus. Just focus in getting well, eat lots of citrus fruits, have lots of rest, don't sleep late and just don't overthink. All will be well soon. Well-being abounds.

Your artworks are so beautiful, you truly have gifted hands.

Thank you so much for your encouragement. I didn't realize that it could wreak havoc on our body system even after all common respiratory symptoms had subsided.

I guess this COVID virus is really something dear. We thought it's gone but it's just sleeping waiting to be aroused again.
Let's just be fit and eat lits of healthy food plus always drink lots of water so our bodies won't get dehydrated specially now for us here almost summer again and it's the hot months already.
