Cine Kids is back!

After being absent for a bit due to real-life issues (read: I was sick), it's time to get back into the workflow and publish another Cine Kids edition. You probably noticed that I'm earlier than usual, this is because I was making my weekly planner and noticed it was the first of the month on Monday. I've been publishing the new monthly Netflix releases at the start of the new month and as I'm ready to get back into the work routine properly this week, I decided to publish the Cine Kids on Monday. This way you have some watch tips as early in the month as possible. I may decide to come back on Monday next week too as I like getting my content ready early in the week. Let's check out which of the Netflix releases for May I picked to share with you today.

Peter Pan (2003)

Didn't we all grow up with Peter Pan? I can still remember watching the Peter Pan movie in my childhood and how I loved watching it. I did not mind that this has been remade into a regular movie though, I think it's a nice movie personally and I remember seeing it years ago. I guess now that it will be available on Netflix, it's a good time to watch it again together with my daughter. Trailer below:

Have you seen Peter Pan from 2003? Did you like it? It's probably good timing for Netflix to release this movie now that Peter and Wendy have recently started airing in the cinemas. Just a few days ago it was released in the cinemas and I'm curious to check this one out. We may end up seeing it in the cinema, to not have to wait too long to watch it. If you already saw it, no spoilers, please!

The Boss Baby (2017

This one is not new to me honestly, I even thought I saw this one on Netflix while it should be new there. It doesn't matter anyway as sharing "The Boss Baby" makes sense, I personally like this one and usually have a good laugh while watching it too. The tv show Boss Baby is also funny and my daughter is watching it quite often. If you haven't seen it yet or want to watch it again, it's available on Netflix!

Rainbow High Season 3

I saw my daughter watching this last week and I was surprised with how cool these characters are made. I was checking if it was suitable for her age and when I saw it was 0+ rated I wondered if this was correct. I checked it online and found that they usually rate it showed something different than the 0+ rating based on what parents advise. So make sure to check if you find it ok for your kid to watch when your child is quite young still. I always make sure to listen to the show in the background while my daughter is watching and when I hear something disturbing to me I will find something different to watch. So far I have not really noticed anything strange with this show though besides that it's not educational at all.

Does your child watch this? What's your opinion on the show? Any thoughts?

Other new releases

Of course, there are more shows and movies being released on Netflix this month, let's name a few so you can add them to your list in case you want to check them.

  • Chicken Run
  • Hop
  • The Smurfs: Season 1
  • Arctic Dogs
  • Kitty Katz
  • The Batman: Seasons 1-5

That's not all though, make sure to check your new releases list on Netflix to not miss any of your favorites. Tip: If you have seen a previous season of a show you liked on Netflix and added it to your list, you can be notified to not miss any new episodes. I always make sure to add a nice movie or show to my list so I won't miss any follow-ups or new seasons.

That's all for this week's Cine Kids. See you next week!

The Boss Baby was one of those movies that I really enjoyed, it's very funny and hearing the voice of an adult in a baby is just plain fun. !LUV !PIZZA

I remember reading the novel Peter Pan around the year 2015 (a bit later or earlier) and I loved it. It has an Aesop of not falling into imagination and accepting reality, which is interesting considering the story does the opposite for the majority of it.

Didn't know Disney was adapting it again, but considering the direction Disney is going in, I'm not too excited about anything they do lately.

I agree with you, that Disney is filled with all kinds of new stuff we never had to witness in our childhoods. Same for Netflix shows btw, every show (whatever it's about) contains some woke stuff they push through our noses. Don't get me wrong here, I have nothing against how anyone feels/is personally, I just don't agree with the way it's being pushed through our noses and is definitely part of an agenda to brainwash the masses.

I see it every time, my boyfriend gets very annoyed as soon as he sees it, I just remind him that it doesn't work anyway if you're aware of what they're doing. Just letting it slide is best.. until they present the next thing to push through our noses. It's been like this forever but many haven't noticed it yet.

For me Peter Pan was something I saw in my childhood, I never read the novel btw, but maybe one day I should. Many movies from my childhood are only seen in the adaptation and never read the actual novel. I will consider getting some of these books in the future (for my daughter).

Thanks for stopping by!

I recommend Peter Pan novel because it's really short. (About 100 pages at most.) It's sad that it seems some people want to change what's acceptable in the world, (and according to what I call the "tolerance slope" works they'll probably succeed,) all we can do is to educate and delay the (potential) inevitable.

Oh, that's indeed not much 100 pages. I think it's sad too and we often discuss here at home how the world has changed so much compared to when we were kids. I think it's inevitable for sure, they have an idea, it needs to be pushed, and so it will. We can only hope things will calm down sooner than later so it's just temporary.

Thanks for the pizza!
