Yes, EOS has been a massive disappointment. Definitely my biggest disappointment in crypto.

Its a shame about SportsTalk. I don't have any tokens but I do post in that community on the semi-regular. I totally agree, sports could do really well here on HIVE. Maybe we've just too many nerds on here :p

I'm sorry to hear about those misses. Investing in alts is such a gamble. You can do all the due diligence in the world and sometimes it still just boils down to luck. I was pretty heavily invested in EOS too and was surprised that it floundered given all the hype and capital that was raised ($4.2B in ETH). I just can't understand how so much of that disappeared.

Disappointment comes our way eventually, as long as I know, no one wants to be disappointed, for me, I do not want it in any way, because it's something that make us feel so bad, yet, it so nice to look into it, I like this initiative that centers on disappointments to correct our future activities.

You have gone through strong disappointments, losing assets is sad but as long as there is life there is hope.

To achieve success in investments sometimes you learn in the loss.

Regarding what you mentioned about hive, I am also sad and disappointed but in my case I have nowhere else to go, hopefully the future will be better.

It is important to recognise our disappointments and not think everything just runs along rosey in life. Sorry to hear about the Sports Community, it seems the whole L2 ecosystem has failed and not just the sports token. Congrats on your silver stock punt, I have taken a nibble of Semlar and they seem to be doing ok so far!

I'm surprised that the sports talk community hasn't taken off. Are there particular reasons do you think?

I've had a couple of disappointments on Hive, mainly things I should have steered well clear off (and was until a fatal error of judgement ... twice) and one thing it might have been wise to let play out ... the structural flaws became apparent pretty soon. COVID and the fork had a big impact - I'm not sure we've fully accounted for those.

I got super burnt by EOS. I got in way too late. Bought at over $10 a token. Thank god I got out at $3 a token and put my small remaining money into BNB. I made a killing on the small amount of BNB that I bought, which made me a total profit instead of a loss. I sold off the BNB last cycle.
The other two I’ve never heard of never mind bought. But I’m pretty conservative on tokens.
Never did Splinterlands and never will.

I hope you had some wins to compensate for those. I think sport/sports could be much bigger here. There's lots going on this summer with the Euro soccer and Olympics plus the yearly stuff like Wimbledon. I don't tend to get into sport online, but there must be big communities for it elsewhere. I do have some SPORTS tokens, but after years of running posts they do not amount to much.

Yeah I was pissed off myself over Sportstalk myself but it was all about ownership and the top dog was missing from the off so it was never going to go anywhere. It had so much going for it. I set up a football on hive community with a few others and we are having a good first year. Our discord is great craic when matches are played. However Hive itself is generally a ghost town these days. I can see it going back to 10 cents. No money coming in and too much money going out to people with less than 500 HP. The optics don't look good. That tap crypto I sent you has 30 million users in 2 weeks. They know how to sign people up. We need something like this. This is the new age now and we are being left behind.

I can relate to your disappointments. Hive token is a huge downer for me. My investments here are at a loss and Hive has dwindled like the projects you mentioned. It's a sad loss. Splinterlands, which is the last hope for Hive chain, is floundering too, so I've lost faith in Hive ever being successful. If a sports platform can't even gain traction, and a game can't keep its value, then it means Hive has failed. Like EOS, founded by the same person, Dan Larimer, it seems that the tokenomics are flawed.
