Interesting nuggets from the past week

You might think this post is going to be all about food, but you would be wrong. I'm not saying there won't be a little bit of food thrown in here and there, but that's not what it is really about. I had some chicken nuggets for lunch on Sunday and I knew I had to take a photo of them to share here. I was pretty confident I would be able to tie it into something.

These nuggets come from Sam's club and they are brined in pickle juice before they are flash fried. They come fully cooked and you just need to heat them up. While probably not the healthiest for you, they are definitely the most tasty store bought nuggets I have ever had.

Lucky for you, the other nuggets I am going to share with you today are probably a lot better for your health. Goodness knows we could all use a little bit if that. You need to have the stamina of a marathon runner to keep up with the crypto markets these days. There is definitely a lot going on.

I'd be hard pressed to find a least one my holdings that didn't see some positive gains over the past couple of weeks. It's possible they have fallen again now, but at least for a glimmering second, they were in the green.

Heck, even the PEPE that I jokingly threw $25 to $50 (I honestly don't remember) is up right now.

It is time again for another Finance Friday/Friday Finance. This is a series I started where I talk about random bits of financial stuff that I have seen, gathered, or experienced during the week. I hope as a reader you find it informational, entertaining, or both. I also hope it can generate some good discussion and edify the community.

I'm not going to try and give you some fancy trade analysis today. There are plenty of people who can do that for you here on Hive. If you had to pick any one in particular, I'd point you in the direction of @edicted. I've had the pleasure of chatting with him several times and although some of his posts can be long, they are usually packed with good information. Often information that is well over my head.

This volcano model that he has been talking about recently is interesting though and I am eager to see if it plays out the way he thinks it will. My money is that it will, but crypto is crypto and you just never know sometimes.

Vote for @nuthman

I'd like to remind you once again to check your witness votes. As stake holders on the chain, it is our right and our privilege to be able to vote for the witnesses. I know sometimes it might feel like a futile effort, but it does matter.

In the spirit of the coming US election. I encourage you to double check your witness votes. Are they living up to their commitment or are they just kind of floating along?

Please consider throwing a vote @nuthman's way. I'm hoping everything is okay because he has been gone for a bit, but I'm sure it's just real world stuff getting in the way of blockchain stuff.

His price feed is more current than some other witnesses in the top ranks and he is running one of the newer versions. There's no reason he shouldn't be in the top 50.

Still Bullish on CHEX

I promise, really, this post isn't about food.

There is no shortage of coins that people think are going to be the next big thing. Everyone has that little gem tucked away in their bags that they just have a feeling about or they know is going to reach the moon one day.

Some people have several of those tokens in their bags.

For me, one such token is CHEX. It has nothing to do with the delicious cereal that I enjoy most every weekday morning. Instead it's the token of Chintai. What started as a platform on EOS to facilitate the leasing and renting of tokens, Chintai has made a huge pivot and their focus now is on helping businesses tokenize real world assets.

I bought most of my tokens when the price was right around $.03. I bought a bit more event though the price jumped up to $.07 per token. Now, with the price sitting at $.144, it's a bit hard to believe there isn't a lot more room for growth on this one.

Don't believe me? Check out this Tweet from leads at Chintai. With their recent launch to the Solana chain, it's not unbelievable that CHEX could end up hitting $1 eventually. I'm part of a small community on Telegram and some of the members there feel like CHEX could hit $3 to $5 by the end of the year.

I don't want this to be another BNB for me where I felt $14 and then $21 was too expensive to buy in.

Of course, you should do your own research as this is not financial advice.

Strange Metals

Finally, ever since I was invited to join the silver and gold stacking community on Hive, I have tried to include a bit more content in my posts. I don't hold nearly as much as some people, but I try my best. Sure, the upvotes are nice, but I never would have guessed how addictive the silver and gold world is.

I was reading a news story the other day about a cache of mostly gold items that was found back in 1963 in Spain. It dates back to the Bronze age and it serves as an important example of how advanced gold smithing was during that time.

Apparently, there are a couple iron-like objects that have made it difficult to specifically date the pieces. They were guessing 1500 to 1200 BC, but iron didn't start to replace bronze until 850 BC. There are however instances of iron from meteors making its way into pieces.

After an investigation, they believe that is the case here and because of that, these two pieces are now some of the earliest evidence of meteoric iron being smithed and formed.

It's not silver or gold, but it's still pretty cool!

Checking my witness votes is one thing I hardly do on here
I’d check it from time to time
Thanks for the reminder

No problem. Usually you can kind of set it and forget it, but every now and then a new witness pops up or existing witnesses fail to fulfill their obligation to the community.

Hello brother, @bozz thank you for sharing this post
Before I speak, I hope you are well. Also, last Sunday’s dinner, I hope it was delicious
I still do not know who the witnesses are here on the stand, but I vote for the witness in the article

Dill Pickle chicken nuggets ?? I'd sure try that.

There seems to be dill pickle everything now. A few years back some places started selling fried pickle slices and I've tried them different places. They are pretty much yummy too.

I'll have to check out my witness votes. I haven't done that in a while either.

Fried pickles are the best. These nuggets are just brined in the juice, so you only get a hint of the flavor. It isn't overpowering or anything. They are so good!

In keeping with the dill.... I got some cole slaw at a restaurant because I was buying food to share and in the low background of the taste of it was also a hint of dill. I rarely like bought cole slaw, but I did love this.

Who knew dill or dill juice could enhance so many things??? Not me !

That sounds delicious. I like coleslaw that is made with malt vinegar instead of regular vinegar. It gives it a little extra pop!

As always, thanks for the shoutout! I have been a bit busy with real life things but am still around. I need to make my monthly witness report, but honestly not much has changed.
