Two Cards

I was just talking with @forexbrokr on Threads and he noticed that my Leo power was drained. If my Leo power surprised him then my Splinterlands asset or the almost empty wallet, I must add, will give him a heart attack.

I've had to take major steps back in my crypto journey to facilitate this move but as Dane often tells me, what's the point of having all this shit if you can't improve your life? Those aren't his exact words but the message is intact.

I've sold pretty much all my Splinterlands cards and right now, I'm down to two gold foil cards. I set their prices a bit higher than the current market price because I want them to stay in my wallet a bit longer.

At some point, I'll have to drop their prices to market value and sell it but for now, I'll price them at their sentimental value. Dealing with the sales of all my Splinterlands assets has been anything but easy but for now, it must be done.

Still Hurting

Much like everything else in the crypto market, the Splinterlands marketplace is struggling and it is hard to describe how frustrating it is that I'm selling at this time. My hope is that in a couple of years, I'll fondly look back at my decision.

Funding relocation is not cheap for me, by any measure and my crypto assets have had to carry the weight of the expedition. At this time, we're at the last stage of application but that doesn't mean there's no spending to do.

After this stage, we still have to contend with flight fees and then the intangible cost of settling into a new country. The country has little to do with money and more to do with the mental/psychological difficulties that come with adjusting to a new place.

Fortunately for me, I have Nigerian friends that are already in the UK that will give me orientation. I also have friends from the UK that will also broaden my perspective, thus enabling me find a balance and hopefully, adjust quicker.

I generally try not to project too far into the future because we can only live in the present. However, I've been working out a strategy to get some of my assets back and eventually start playing Splinterlands again.

For the most part, my strategy will benefit from the fact that our relocation will ensure I no longer have to rely on crypto for sustenance. This means that all the funds generated here will either be staked or reinvested into getting cards to participate in ranked battles.
