Hive blockchain - Surpassing the milestone of 37,000 Hive Power staked

There is not much to say about me, but that I am a simple amateur blogger with ups and downs and yet an affinity and presence for the Hive blockchain. Probably my writing style has refined a little bit over time, maybe my presence was more than compared to others, but I don't consider that I had an exceptional path in this regard. And yet, while doing my own thing in this ecosystem, I've succeeded in hitting a new milestone and it feels like uncovering a hidden treasure. Recently, I reached the noteworthy milestone of staking 37,000 Hive Power on the Hive blockchain, and it's been nothing short of a thrilling journey.

Why am I keen in investing in Hive and Hive Power?

Pure passive income

HIVE POWER increases at an APR of approximately 2.92%, subject to blockchain variance. This is without doing anything, just power up your Hive into Hive Power and you will see it increase second by second to new values. And the best of it is that every bit of it get compounds and thus the APR% is higher than that.

Near passive income through curation

Curation on the Hive blockchain is quite easy and through each upvote given up to 50% of it is given back to the curator. You simply read what you like, from your hobbies and interest and upvote the content, also maybe leave a comment. That translates into revenue for the curator when the post is paid and if engaged also through comments and replies it can bring more revenue as well. Thus I consider this a near passive revenue stream that adds to the pure passive nature of Hive Power. These both can jump over 15% APR on a yearly basis and probably more if we take into account also the rewards from the engagement.

Airdrops potential for new projects on the Hive blockchain rewarding Hive Power holders

Airdrops have a proven history on the Hive blockchain and those that are holding Hive and Hive Power are entitled to these. The last airdrop that is on my mind is the one for the Speak Network which I consider it with an enormous potential while the network will be live. And probably other airdrops will follow as the first layer infrastructure is developed and more projects will find it appealing to develop on it.

Have a big stake of Hive Power allows you having a bigger influence when upvoting DHF (Decentralized Hive Fund) proposals on the Hive blockchain. That translated into financing projects that bring value to this ecosystem and pushes it forward. Thus, I believe that one that has quite a bit of Hive Power will be courted by the project owners that hope to get or continue their funding.

Support Hive witnesses

And not the least Hive witnesses only go up in ranking based on the support offered by Hive Power holders. Pick your witness, upvote him and it will represent you in the Hive blockchain and validate transactions. This is quite important as Witnesses can shape the direction of the blockchain and also ensure its functionating.

These are some of the benefits that cross my mind on my way to continue powering up Hive Power as much as possible. Reaching 37,000 Hive Power is quite amazing for me and I believe that now the price is still low and any bit of it will count more during a bull run. History proved that over and over and my option of staking as much as possible now, I am sure will pay 10x during the next bull run. Only need to give it patience and the good times will come back again upon us. Until that happens, it remains to celebrate any milestones reached. Today is 37k, after a few time I hope it will be 40k. That's my short target in sight.
