Ecency - Speak Network wallet is a great addition to this Hive blockchain interface

avatar

Hive blockchain stores within its decentralized database all the blogging content that is published through different interfaces and one that I have grown fond of is Ecency. And by using this within the daily routine, I have discovered a great utility addition through the Speak Network wallet. While before I was claiming the Larynx Miners airdropped monthly for 1 year using DLux, since I have discovered this possibility also within Ecency I simply find it easier to do so from there.

Not only that you can CLAIM your Larynx Miners airdrop on Ecency, but you can do all the needed operations from within this interface. You can also POWER UP your Larynx Miners and even DELEGATE them to specific Validator Nodes on Speak Network. To give you a summary on the actions that can be done per specific Speak Network tokens, here it is:

  • Speak tokens earn from delegation - Transfer between different Hive accounts
  • Larynx Miners tokens - Claim airdrop on a monthly basis, Transfer and Power up tokens
  • Larynx Miners powered up - Power down and delegate tokens, View delegated Validator nodes

image.png

One thing I haven't found out how to do either on DLux or Ecency is how to make zero delegated Validator Nodes disappear from the list. Basically, the undelegation operations mean to reduce the delegation from a specific amount to zero, but that Validator Node is still displayed in the list. Maybe this can be an improvement in the future iterations on the delegation/undelegation functionality by filtering out the Validator nodes that have ZERO Larynx Power delegated. This will make it clear to the end user how the delegation is diversified and show only relevant information.

What interfaces are you using for managing your Larynx Miners and Speak tokens on Speak Network? Any improvement ideas at this stage of development?

It's really handy to see it there for sure.

As Ecency is quite a mature and complete interface for the Hive blockchain is indeed handy to have the Speak Network wallet as well.

But this is crazy, the delegation is supposed to completely dissapear when you undelegate from a node operator, but I haven't exactly tried it out, so....

Yeah, I assume that they've considered that just an aesthetic issue and did not prioritize it.

It's great to see that Ecency took the initiative and implemented the Speak Network wallet to their frontend first! So much easier to do things when we have them in one place!

I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project which will be highlighted in the next post!

Yeap, this is a pleasant surprise and getting easier action from a single platform increases usability.

Damn, this is so much better than Dlux! Ecency really does a great job as a front end, many could take lessons from them for sure.

On top of that Ecency has a nice points seem for using their interface and you can use that to boost your posts: 150 points will get you $1 worth of upvotes.

I have always used Dlux for managing my larynx tokes. I will check out using ecency.

Thanks for the tip; it sounds quite helpful.

It is good to have alternatives.

Ecency has really done well by integrating the SPK network. It's easy to manage Larynx airdrop through the wallet.

Sweet integration for a platform like Speak Network that will surely become a big thing around here.

I have been using Ecency as well because it makes the process easier. However, delegating out of power isn't as good. So I guess that is the only downside.

I didn't try delegation services as I don't know what APR% is providing for that. But the points for activity and using them to boost your posts are pretty cool!

I was talking more about the speak tokens and LARYNX. I haven't tried the delegation features for Hive via Ecency.

Last time I tried to get DLux I keep getting error messages and someone referred me to Ecency to make my claim, so that's what I use now, Ecency. I don't quite understand all the other stuff around the Larynx tokens or how to get Speak tokens, so I can't speak on ideas or improvements yet.

You can power up your Larynx Miners and Delegate them to validator nodes - all the options are available through the Ecency - Speak Network wallet. By doing so you will be earning Speak tokens which will have a future utility.
