Ever since the Russia-Ukraine conflict started, there have been many people donating cryptocurrencies to aid the victims and those not able to work for themselves or to support the country Ukraine. Even though we don’t know where the majority of the cryptocurrencies donated are going to or if they are been distributed or given to those who actually need it but many are still concerned and ready to help. The Ukrainians have been the ones suffering most from the conflicts so far, from losing their homes, losing loved ones, and even suffering from life-threatening injuries. Currently, no one is safe and the country is at risk from more missiles.

The crypto community has played big support in aiding the Ukrainians amid the ongoing invasion and over $30million worth of cryptocurrencies have been donated over the past weeks. First of all, it was cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum that was the major digital coin being donated but along the line, the creator of Polkadot Gavin Wood tweeted that he would like to help the Ukrainians too, that he would need a DOT wallet address so that he will be able to donate of his contribution and the amount of DOT he said was $5 million.

The donations have been helpful so far in the support of the economy and civilians and it all started when the official Twitter account tweeted that they would like some cryptocurrency donations to support them from the invasion of Russia. But however, now there’s a new development or announcement going on from official Ukraine account which says that they would be a possible airdrop to those that actually contributed or donated in support of them.

In the tweet made, there was a link attached to it which is a Polkadot address hinting about the airdrop. It is already confirmed that it will take place by March 3rd at exactly 6 PM according to the tweet made but the problem or worry about people or the donors is how they will receive the airdrop or what form it’s going to come in, is it going to be in NFTs or in Tokens.

Just in case you wondering what the cryptocurrencies are being spent on, well so far they have been reports which said about $14 million out of the crypto donated have been used for supplies to help civilians for food and also providing gas, and mostly for providing military hardware according to Michael Chobanian who is in charge and helps manage the donations.
