May 13th, 2021The most notable thing this week was a huge increase in @semarekha's delegation, taking her to a total of 250 HP. Also, we have a totally new VIP, @leeart, who started off with a 100 HP delegation, making this ASEAN Hiver an instant SILVER VIP.
"Slow and steady wins the race" is the old expression, and the ASEAN Hive Community has certainly maintained a slow and steady growth. Although we are not in a race of any kind, I am honored to think that so many people believe in this project that they choose to delegate even 1 HP to @asean.hive. I am eternally humbled and grateful to all of you VIP delegators that keep this community breathing fire.

How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @kidsisters, & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP 🥉 BRONZE Raffle.
There are four separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
This week's total effective HP is 78,467, and total delegated HP is 74,772 HP (50,953 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.
The more you delegate, the greater your chances are to win, and this weekly raffle is just a fun way to reward supporters of Southeast Asian content on Hive.

well now I just feel like a huge underdog since @davidek20 has delegated 10,000 more. I guess I'll have to match that to level the playing field!
I certainly wouldn't do anything to prevent that, but of course don't want anyone to give more than they can afford. Your and Dave's delegations along with mine are the three sources of HP that provide enough rewards to give folks an incentive to post here beyond just the good vibes.
I'll be upping my delegation soon, but waiting til the HIVE price recovers because I can barely reward my commenters at the moment. Also planning to up the community rewards as my family and I get less dependent on HIVE earnings for our existence.
