Hello guys!

Yeeeeey I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. I'm writing this post to follow Splinterlands Mage Secrets Battle Challenge Silenced Summoner. This is my second post to join this challenge. I will share a different battle strategy with my first post, and of course this can be a reference if you find the same rulests.

I'm not a professional player or a tournament hero, so. I merely like to discuss battles and strategies that, in my opinion, are worthwhile. I participated in this combat using a different scholarship account with the IGN BLTZR-WIZARD-700, a modern-rank player who played in the Diamond league and used a Full primary Chaos Legion edition card and multiple Reward cards with lower-leveled rewards. Because each league has a distinct level, the fight approach I gave might not work in those leagues.

Ok guys, without further ado, let's get straight to the heart of this post!

Challenge Rules

Description:
Summoners do not give any buffs/debuffs or grant/use abilities.

Use your lowest cost and highest level summoner within this ruleset.

Battle Rulesets

rulesets.png

The rulesets in this battle are:

  • Silenced Summoner (Summoner do not give any stat buffs or debuffs or grant/use any abilities)
  • Counterspell (All Monsters have the Reflect Magic ability)
  • Keep Your Distance (Monsters with Melee attack may not be used in battles)
  • Mana Capacity 28
  • Active Element Water, Dragon.

Line Up and Strategy

If in my previous post there was only 1 active element, in this battle there are 2 active elements, and this means that there will be other strategies that can be applied. Because Summoner does not have any influence / does not work, Dragon Summoner is the best choice because besides being able to summon Dragon monsters, it can also be combined with monsters from other elements.

Since the Counterspell rulesets give Reflect Magic abilities to all monsters, we need to avoid using Magic monsters. In addition to ity, other rulesets are Keep Your Distance where all Melee monsters cannot be used, so the best choice is to use a powerful Tank and maximize attacks with range monsters. So I put together the line-up as shown below. I will also explain the strategy of each monster in the table below.

MonsterPositionAbilitiesStrategy
Quix The DeviousSummoner-1 Range, -1 Speed (Not Working)As I explained above, Summoner Dragon can summon monsters from the Dragon element and combined with other Elements, so Summoner Dragon will be more profitable when compared to using Summoner Water. It just so happens that I only have Quix The Devious whose level can be used in the Diamond league.
BaakjiraFirstVoid, Slow, Strengthen, HealBaakjira has a very large HP and ability that can support as a Tank. Although this monster has no damage, this is not a problem. Baakjira will still provide an important role in battle as the main tank.
Chaos AgentSecondDodge, Phase, BackfireJust like Baakjira, Chaos Agent is a non-damage tank. Even though it only requires mana 1 and has HP that is not too big, this monster is very likely to become a tank because of its abilities. This monster is able to become a very annoying monster because of its ability to dodge the opponent's attacks and Backfire ability which will make the opponent's attack turn towards the attacker if the attack misses hitting this monster.
Angelic MandarinThirdTriage, SilenceAngelic Mandarin acts as an attacker and support in this battle. Angelic Mandarin has 2 Range attacks and has the Triage ability which will restore the HP of other monsters that receive the most attacks but are not in the first position, and the Silence ability which will reduce the magic attack of all enemy monsters.
Igor DarkspearFourthStunIgor has 3 ranges of attack which is very good as an attacker. Besides this monster also has Stun ability, When a Unit with Stun hits a target, there is a 50% chance that the target will skip its next turn.
Kulu SwimhunterFifthNAKulu Swimhunter will be the main attacker in this battle because it has the highest damage, which is 4 range attacks. Although this monster does not have special abilities, this monster also has high speed. So with great damage and speed, this monster is enough to become the main attacker
Wave BroodLastTaunt, Close Range, Void, Return FireOther tanks besides Baakjira and Chaos Agent. This is a very powerful tank, especially for dealing with Magic and Range attacks. This monster has a Void, which will reduce damage from magic attacks and has Return fire where the range attack that hits this monster will turn towards the attacker. This monster also has a large HP so it will really be a strong tank in this battle.

I've also included a youtube video of this battle that you can play right away.

This battle is very interesting, and the opponent also uses a strategy that is almost the same where Dragon Summoner is the choice. In the end I was able to win this battle, and you can see a snippet of this battle in these diabwah pictures.

STRATEGY DISCUSSION

yes, the battle strategy that I applied runs very effectively in this battle. Dragon Summoner is really the right choice, so we can combine Dragon and Water monsters. Even so, I don't use Dragon monsters at all and all the monsters in the line-up are Water monsters. Even so, at least I have more considerations about the monsters I will use. In the future, if there are Silenced Summoner rulesets and active Dragon elements, then Dragon Summoner will still be my main choice.
