Astral Revelations - Pre Alpha

Astral Revelations is an isometric turn-based pet tactics RPG build in HIVE by @Surgentgaming. The studio announced the Project in Dec 2022 and had planned to release alpha version of the gameplay by the end of March.

Before moving to closed Alpha, the team wanted to make sure there were fewer bugs and extensive test are done to ensure a smooth closed alpha, so the Pre-alpha phase is going on now. 20 people were selected from those who bought the Starter pack. Half of the people were selected through Lotto and the rest included the Highest stakers of the token and Content creators. I was one of the highest stakers of ASTRA and so i got the opportunity to become one among twenty and to participate in the Pre-Alpha.

Pre Alpha is purely created to see how we interact with the game and fix the bugs which present and this would be different from the Main game.

The whole Pre alpha is arranged as an interactive experience where you can talk to NPC to get clues and also test the Battle Mechanics. There is close to 19 NPC who you can talk to and each one gives you a letter that you need to collect and make meaning out of that. There are 13 battles and also 2 secret boss battles which you can have if certain Criteria are met. Team has announced bounty of close to 27K Alpha to the people who find certain items in Pre-alpha.

There are around 13 battles with varying levels of difficulties which you can test out.Your team can have 4 Wisps (Fire,Water,Air,Earth) which have varying level of movement, some wisps are Melee while other are ranged. Below is a vedio showing the NPC interaction and few easy battles

Final Thoughts

Astral Revelations is the game in Hive i am most interested in. I have been very impressed with how the pre-alpha has turned out and excited to see how the game will turn out.
