Saturday Savers 2024 Progress Report - Week 17

It's Saturday already ! The day started off nice and bright, and now it's bucketing down with rain. No need to water the garden, so I can write some posts instead 😁

Here's my table of progress for the week;

How Did The Week Go ?

HP

No hiding it, this wasn't a great week for earnings, but that's okay. Sometimes real life happens, and I must admit that after loosing Stevie Cat it has taken a few days to get my mojo back and start posting again.

On the other hand earning 20HP from mostly curation and APR, with just a few posts in the mix, is a level of earnings I couldn't have dreamed of a year or so back. It's a clear demonstration of the way that once you build up a decent amount of HP you can earn passive income in Hive even if your earnings from posts are pretty minimal.

HBD

HBD was low this week. That's a combination of the inevitable drop from lack of posting, plus picking a low DCA figure. In my original plan I was going to DCA HIVE to HBD at a decreasing rate as the year went on. I rapidly switched it to picking a number from the range available. This is paying off because it means I'm not forcing myself to buy HBD while the price of HIVE is low. Interest is due to appear next week, and I'm hopeful it might just touch (or be only slightly short of) my 30HBD a month short-term goal.

LEO

LEO earnings were 14.005, almost all of it through delegation rewards. That's pretty decent ! I'm still a long way off my goal of earning enough LEO a month to cover LPUD, but it's getting there very slowly.

Other Metrics

The various social metrics are on track, and I've started re-engaging after a week where I really didn't do very much socially.

Overall, the only metrics which are below target are delegations. HPUD is on Wednesday, so the plan is to push a chunk of what I power up into delegations to get them back on track. A couple of metrics - posting and HP gains - are a bit closer to the goal than I'd like. Hopefully getting back on track with posting, combined with HPUD this week will solve that !

If you're not familiar with SaturdaySavers, it's a fabulous initiative run by @shanibeer writing as @sally-saver on the @eddie-earner account, where we all support each other in getting to our savings goals.

If you are one of my friends reading this (or just someone who tripped over one of my posts), I really recommend this as a great community that's well worth joining.

I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #SaturdaySavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.

So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !

The best time was actually 11 years ago😂😂😂😂

Compound interest and passive income really does help one when the posting mojo is gone.

One thing I love about the concept of delegations to curation accounts...

Steady income..
