Yes, it's Saturday again, and time for my #SaturdaySavers update !

I've been unable to get to either of the meetups this weekend (HiveFest or Halifax), but I'll be thinking of all of you who got to them 😀

Overview of the Week

Overall, it's been a week where I haven't posted as much as I should have done, but being busy at work tends to do that !

An interesting observation is that two of the posts I made were one of the most in-depth time-consuming posts I've put together, and one of the fastest quick-fire posts. Guess which one got the most upvotes ? I guess the message is "Hivers prefer cat posts" 😁 but I can't bring myself to walk away from communities which are maybe a bit quieter but where I find making the content more satisfying. Not sure what the answer to that is, apart from keeping up both the enjoyable posts, and the ones which are more off-the-cuff but in popular communities.

The only goal which is still slipping is HBD. But although I like it, I'm realising that for now, I've got enough of my portfolio committed to it, for a couple of reasons. First there was the debate about the interest rate, and then this morning I see on CoinGecko that it seems to have lost it's peg to the US Dollar, falling to around $0.89. I'm wondering if it's a CoinGecko issue, because the second of two drops happened at about 2pm, and simultaneously they show the volume dropping to zero. Has one of the main exchanges stopped accepting HBD or something ? I'd love to know if anyone can provide some more info !

I'm expecting next week to be a bit of a low-posting one, as I'll be spending most of the time creating data files for my website to update all the shipping methods. If you are in the UK, Royal Mail has moved from their previous norm of doing a price increase once a year in March, and are now doing a second one to take effect on Monday 2nd October (not well publicised, and really two days earlier unless you can find a Post Office where there's a collection on Saturday afternoon or Sunday). The increase is around 10% for parcels, 17% for Large Letters and 25% for Special Delivery - that includes the new "seasonal surcharge" they are applying to business customers. So if you've got anything to post or online orders planned, it's worth doing it next week before the increase.

Next Sunday is also HPUD - I hope you're all ready for it, it only feels like a short time ago that the previous one happened !
