Kingdom - Explore the Virtual world with many Fun elements.

Gaming is one of the growing segments on the blockchain and this is still in the early stage because a very less percentage of people are in blockchain gaming as of now. This opens a door of opportunity for us to bring more people to this segment and the more extensive the community means we will see more development and innovations coming for us. Any project works hard when the community is more significant and they are excited about the upcoming features and addition to the project. Play-to-earn gaming is a trending part of cryptocurrency and I am excited about it because we get to earn significant rewards here and it also provides us with the opportunity to invest.

I got to know about the Kingdom game after the leofinance partnership and they have created a hive community for this. It's a great addition to the platform here and I'm sure people are going to love it because the game looks good and the Leo team is trying to give us more options to choose from in the play-to-earn gaming segment. this collaboration is going to help the game as well as the community on the hive platform and altogether a great addition to Web 3 gaming. I have gone through the website and their document to understand more about the game and how it works which I'm going to share in this article -

Kingdom

This is a 2D game in which we can create a kingdom having multiple resources. It is like creating our world in virtual space and we will be getting a lot of resources to choose from. Such games are fun but we need to spend time to plan things accordingly and work towards it which is something that takes time but the outcome looks better. The main objective behind this gaming is that we spend time and plan things according to strategy so it is a long-term game that one can play and keep on building with the different available resources in the ecosystem. We can also call it a resource management game where we need to decide what resources are available and how we are going to use make our kingdom.

Kingdom is a 2D gaming virtual world where you can collect resources, make friends, craft objects, farm, trade, join collective quests and create your kingdom.

Getting Started

On the homepage we get the button get it started and when you click on that then it opens the page to sign in so if you are already registered then you can do the login else you need to register on the page by creating your login password. They have also provided the Google login which is an easy way to enter in the game environment when I did the same.

Once you are logged in then you will be able to see this message that the game is welcoming you to the kingdom where you can explore the world and check out the available resources and everything which is part of the gaming ecosystem. I must mention here that the UI is quite fun and the graphics are designed in such a way that you feel connected as everything is easy to understand and you will hardly struggle to find out the options which is a good thing in the game.

This page will be opened in front of you once you are logged in and this is where you can start building the resources. You get the required options here and if you click on the profile icon then you can see the option to link the wallet and even there is an option to go on the map.

The map is very helpful to understand how we can use the different geographical locations available in the game as well as what resources we can use to build the kingdom. Here is what the map looks like so you know where is our kingdom and the other available options in the game.

We need to connect our metamask wallet and then we'll be able to buy or sell gold in the game. Currently, there are two coins supported including Matic and Ethereum. Gold is the main currency of the game and we can't get it free. We need gold to buy assets in the game and when we sell these items then we get the gold back. This gold can be converted back to Crypto coins.

Since the gold is not available for free so we need to connect the wallet and buy it to grow the account. We can start with the game for about 5 worth of ETH or MATIC coins and I think matic is good because of the low transaction fee. If you go with ethereum then you might have to pay more transaction fees than the cost. It's good that the team has provided both options so we can choose one out of both depending upon our preference but in my personal opinion Matic is the good option to go for considering the low transaction fee.

It's important to learn and understand the basic concepts of the game and how it works before investing. On top of the pace we get three options and these are-

• Inventory
• Energy
• Gold

All the items will be stored in the inventory option so whatever we own can be seen here and even there are 3 sub-options once we open. Since I don't have anything so its showing as blank this time.

Energy can be seen as 30/30 and this should be used once we action in the game but this will continue to increase over time so there is nothing to worry about. We get 30 in the beginning and its good enough to start with.

Whatever gold we have can be seen in the third and last option on the page and to see some balance here we need to buy it. Once you click on it then you get the option to connect your wallet and proceed further.

I did travel to explore the place and I got 1 fern but I am not sure how to use it.

While moving here and there I also got to see this spaceship but I could not go inside and there must be some requirement to fulfil. I will explore that to see how can I achieve it and then will see how the experience will be. I can also see some resources available here but these are not for me at the moment.

I did some action in the game and now I am left with 27 energies out of 30 and this will recharge over time I think.

Game is in Alpha

This game has been launched in June 2023 and it is in the alpha stage currently. This is the time when developers are trying to test various features and fix bugs if any to have a better gaming experience. There is a lot to explore in the game and its fun moving places. Gold is pegged to ether and this is something that I have seen for the first time. Its good because ethereum is a valuable coin and the gold price will be based on that. You also get the option to earn ETH so ist another plus in the game.

I have gone through the game document and it looks good. Since the game is in the early stage so early joining is always a good idea as we get some additional benefits. I wanted to go through the game first and understand its dynamic to see how it works and then decide later. Its important to see how things are inside the game so if you are interested in such resource management games then its for you. You get the opportunity to explore a lot and build your virtual world with kingdom

Conclusion

I like the concept on which this game is built and they have made the graphics in different designs that make us feel good inside the game. They have got only gold as the currency which can be used to buy items so there is no confusion with different tokens. The game looks easy to understand and with the map, you get to know better about the world build inside the game. The transaction can be done using a metamask wallet so we need not keep any crypto inside the game we can use the metamask when we want to buy some assets in the game however we can keep gold in the game account to buy things later.
