Today, carved pumpkins are used as spooky Halloween decorations. They are usually carved with a scary face and a candle is placed inside to illuminate them. These Jack-o'-lanterns are usually placed outside houses and in multiple other spaces, creating a spooky and festive atmosphere.

Aunque en mi país no es una tradición celebrar Halloween, cada vez más lugares optan por crear ambientaciones alusivas a este día. Ya sea por motivos de bromas, por carácter comercial o con fines turísticos, es cada vez más común ver cómo se adopta esta festividad en diversos espacios.
Incluso en la oficina donde trabajo, decidimos sumarnos a la celebración adornando con algunos objetos propios de esta ocasión, especialmente con calabazas.
Hoy en día, las calabazas talladas se utilizan como decoraciones espeluznantes en Halloween. Se les suele tallar un rostro espantoso y se les coloca una vela en su interior para iluminarlas. Estas linternas de Jack-o'-lantern se colocan generalmente en el exterior de las casas y en otros múltiples espacios, creando una atmósfera tenebrosa y festiva.
