Hello Shadow Hunters!
Yesterday we had a scheduled city wide brown-out from 6am til 6pm. The electric company is going to do some preventive maintenance on their system. While there was no power my husband kept himself busy by finishing his project. He made a small table for my mother-in-law.
Good thing he already finished welding the iron frame so all he did was the wood or the top part of the table.

He did some sanding on the wood to make the surface smooth. Sanding is pretty much important before adding on the paint. A good sanding will ensure a silky-smooth outcome.
Then he applied natural plastic varnish to give the wood a natural finish.

We had a beautiful sunny weather yesterday which was perfect for the application of varnish to really make it dry and to have a beautiful outcome.

I've had several shadows seen on the photos. The shadow of the roof behind him, the screen of his pigeon loft's landing and of course hubby's shadow while applying the varnish paint on the table.

And viola! Here is his finished project. What a beautiful small table. My mother-in-law also uses this as her headrest for she cannot sleep laying down now, she just wants to sleep sitting down.

My brother-in-law saw the table, he said it can be a bar stool too. This gave us an idea hopefully we can make this into a business and have some made to order stool, chair, nook a combination of iron and wood.
