Steem Engine is Closing Down April 30th

avatar

I'd like to thank everyone for their patience. Steem Engine has been used for years as a smart contract platform built on top of Steem. Since the Hive hardfork it has received less and less activity. It's now essentially no longer used and going forward it will be decommissioned. The target date that the website will stop working is April 30th. Please take any and all Layer 1 tokens that you have placed on Steem Engine off of it. Tokens left there after April 30th will be considered abandoned property.

Steem-Engine was recently a recipient of a hack. There's no guarentee this hack won't happen again. You are encouraged to act now rather than later to remove any of your tokens from the exchange.

I do believe there are some members of the Korean community that will likely revive the functionality of Steem Engine. We wish them luck and will try to support them.

Can we assume that all layer 2 tokens will be available on the newer hive.engine?

I would venture to say that if they haven't moved over already, then they would need to to survive. This is up to the token creator and manager, not the platform because they would basically need to pay to launch on Hive-Engine. This is based on the same experience we had at the fork.

Thanks dude, that makes sense. I'm pretty sure that many of these layer 2 tokens are defunct already with no visible activity?

Hello. Could you help me, give me some energy? I haven't been able to post a post for a week because there aren't enough credit resources. I'm trying to gain some energy on the hand from https://giftgiver.site/faucet but he gives only 2 times a day and very little, only 0.002 + 0.001. I have not been able to write for a week. I tried to promote my posts with the help of ecency, but they rejected my attempts three times. As soon as I get a little rich, I will definitely return what I spent. I can't buy coins for power-up because my pocket is empty at the moment.

I paid a lot of steem in the past in front of the hive hardfork to create new tokens.

It would be fair to transfer These Tokens to hive-engine.

RIP.
The STEEM Engine was a pivotal champ of what we have here today within the HIVE ecosystem. Thank you, @aggroed!

When and how will Hive engine decentralize further?

Trying to sell some of my tokens and it says, "SteemConnect is deprecated. Please use Keychain." And it gives a broken link to Steem Keychain.

I found this extension but it doesn't seem to work.

How can I transact on Steem Engine? Or really, where's a working version of Steem Keychain?

I have never seen any instructions for withdrawing money from there. Just transfer my tokens to hive and let them trade here.
Add swap* or steem* to them, and let them be in my wallet as expected.
And about the levels of tokens it’s not clear at all

Thanks for staying open for this long. Was a huge help after the fork to swap Steem for Hive.

It sounds very strange, you will leave to the mercy of fate those who have a lot of Steem Engine Token, because they trusted you? I have over 8000 coins which I bought not cheap at all. It would be fair for them to end up in the Hive Engine, wouldn't it? How you resolve this issue will become the basis of trust, or distrust, of you in the Hive. After all, if, one day, problems befall the Hive Engine, where is the guarantee that we will not lose our investments? I want to trust you in the future as well. Sincerely.
