Markets are down – what to do ?

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

When you look at the market situation at the moment, it's definitely not looking well. All the crypto are in the cellar. However the phenomenon is not limited to the crypto world and I believe that it would be wrong to attribute the situation purely to what happens around things like Luna or Celsius.

In the video, I try to analyze the present situation and give my tips about what one could do.

This is my own appreciation and it's in no way financial advice :-)

Diversify and creating an accumulation plan. That's the best way for me

Accumulating is always a good idea :-)

Thanks for the sharing! Definitely agree with your view. For me, I feel more comfortable just hodling my cryptos, shares, etc for now. Definitely not the time to be selling when prices are so low. Life goes on I guess, still playing Splinterlands and writing posts on Hive! :)

I totally agree with you. I tend to ignore prices and simply adapt my behaviour accordingly. When I can get more hive, I get more hive. If I can get more hbd, I get more hbd. I wouldn't sell anything at the moment either. When prices go down it's accumulation time :-)

I think I have finally learned my lesson (partly... lol...). Currently exchanging assets that have kept the price to BTC and HIVE... Not buying cards in Splinterlands (yet), but maybe that will change... :)

It's definitely a good idea to put the eggs into solid baskets. There aren't that many around :-). Well as for Splinterlands there are no guarantees but in such situations, it was always performing much better than the market.

Continue to be optimistic and don't just give up.

Glad to see your staying the course and adding to your holdings as others sell.

Something I learned over the years is in such situations to always do the contrary to what everybody else is doing :-)

I agree with everything you have said.

I haven't started buying HIVE in higher chunks, just a little bit here and there. But I'm getting ready for it. Why not yet? Because if the market drops further (and with the winter that will follow) the alts will be hit the hardest. And then there will be a much better opportunity to buy HIVE. Maybe not at 10-15 cents like before, but lower than today, I'm pretty sure of that.

I am trying to DCA since it's difficult to predict until where it will drop. I still have some money on faucets (tons of referrals lol) and I'm slowly swaping it from usd into btc and hive. I like filling the bags when prices plunge :-)

I slowly started to do the same for bitcoin.

Are they still generating income? Or they have started again as prices dropped?

I have kind of 900 referrals in cointiply and I get a decent income there from it. Since it's paid in dollar linked coins, now is a good time to withdraw :-)

900? That's really nice! And cointiply is probably still used.

Well I don't know how many are still active but I get some referral comissions from there on a regular basis :-)

Thanks, great video and you covered quite a few points. I think the next market to implode could be real estate. Interest rates for mortgages have risen from 0,9% to over 3% in just 6 months here in Germany for 10y lending. In the US I saw it is now 6% for a 30y mortgage.

I think the main thing is that we need to keep stacking during these low-priced and uncertain periods as they will really boost our portfolio in the next bull market and lower our avg. entry price drastically.

It's the same here in Switzerland. The real estate market has gone up gradually over the last years and the mortgage levels are pretty high. It will take some time but it's sure that many home owners won't be able to pay 3 to 5x higher interest rates. This will bring the market crashing down and this is pretty bad for the economy in general. I think it's a good time to accumulate stuff now even if it seems everything is falling :-)
