Greetings to all and sundry on this great platform, I welcome you all to my blog and today I write to participate in this week's battle mage secrets weekly challenge. I am very happy to be part of the Splinterlands family. I hope that you guys would like my entry. Without much ado, I would like to go straight to the purpose of this post. Today, the battle ruleset is "TAKING SIDES" and I would submit my entry to that here in this post including a video of my battle.

Per the ruleset of the game, There are no special tricks for this ruleset, but make a balanced team. I used my personal account @abu78 to participate in this battle. I am currently playing in the Bronze league. Before I demonstrate the battle here, let's briefly look into the Ruleset of the game.

Summoner:

I chose the SCARRED LLMAGE summoner. It was a 22-mana game condition and I had to manage my card selection to suit that. I chose the Scarred Llama Mage summoner so that my monsters would have an increase in health by two and also affect my monsters with the last stand ability. It also cleanses any negative effects inflicted on my monsters. I kept Kron the Undying at the last position so that it would take care of the last-stand effect and increase in stats to help me win the battle. I added the fungus flinger monster so that it will increase all stats of Kron before the last stand effect takes place after its death. Also, I added the failed summoner to reflect the magic attack from my opponent.

1st Position:

Failed Summoner, this card has the magic reflect ability so any monster that attacks it by magic will also be inflicted with damage. It is a 2-mana monster with a speed of 2, 0 damage attack, and 4 health with 0 armor protection.

Round 1:

First of all, all monsters took their effect from the summoner by gaining extra magic attack ability. My lineup was made up of four monsters including; Failed Summoner, Fungus Fiend, Fungus Flinger, and Kron the Undying. His lineup was made up of four monsters as well including the Tusk the wide monster in the first position, followed by Tenyii Striker, Djinn Inferni, and then Scorch Fiend.

In the first round, the Djinn Inferni monster in my opponent's lineup attacked first and my failed summoner monster reflected two damages back to his monster, after which the Tenyii Striker monster on my opponent's lineup also attacked my Kron the Undying monster with 3 melee damage. Kron the Undying then attacked back his first position monster and then made two magic damage. Next Fungus Flinger also attacked his Tusk the Wide monster in the first position. Tusk the Wide monster then attacked my failed summoner monster. At the end of the first round, none of our monsters were eliminated.

Round 2:

In this round, similarly, the Djinn Inferni monster attacked the Failed Summoner after which two magic reflect damages were inflicted back to my opponent's monsters but his attack was enough to eliminate my monster. Tenyii Striker then attacked my Kron the Undying again after which my other monsters in the lineup then attacked the Tusk the Wide monster of my opponent. Tusk the Wide monster also attacked my Fungus Fiend monster which was now in the first position.

At the end of the round, my failed summoner monster was eliminated from my lineup team. My opponent was still having all four monsters intact whilst I was left with three monsters. I started doubting if I could win that battle until the end of the battle.

Round 3:

In this round, Djinn Inferni again attacked and eliminated my Scorch Fiend monster which after Tenyii Striker attacked my Kron monster. After all the monster's attacks, I was left with two monsters whilst my opponent still got all four monsters intact.

Round 4:

In this round, Djinn Inferni again attacked and eliminated my Fungus Flinger monster which after being eliminated increased all stats of the Kron the Undying abilities. This was where the last stand effect took place on my Kron the Undying monster after which round 4 began.

Round 5 - 9:

From round 5 to 9, it was only the Kron the Undying monster I was having on my lineup and it was able to eliminate all four monsters on my opponent's lineup.

This was how my battle went and I won it in the latter part of the battle. I think the selection of my team was good and also selecting Kron the Undying monster in the lineup for Scarred Llamge Secrets summoner is a great strategy.

Thank you all for your time and attention for going through my post. A link to my battle is provided here Battle Link
