Sleep and dreams are two different things.

Sleeping is said to be a healthy habit, but a moderate one is what's good for the body. When you have excess sleep you get to feel the effects on your health and so not having enough sleep could also affect your health too.

I am so quick to adjust to changes. There was a time when I was in my service year, I met with a senior member who was about to pass out. I felt how restless he was, from one point to another he kept attending to something. I felt for him because he hardly rests during the day and his nights are always in preparation for the next day.

One day I told him I was not sure if I would be able to cope with this condition he finds himself in. As for me, I was sleeping mostly since I didn't have much on me. Back then he told me not to worry, when the time comes I would understand how it feels and adjust to it.

Time flew, and I was about to pass out. I started running helter-skelter. I got so restless to the extent that most of the time I just rested my head on the table while attending to some files. My experience was even worse than that of his. But what I realized at the end was that I adjusted my ways. I found myself in the condition and lived in it.

My dreams.

We all have our different natures and that's what depicts our differences and our uniqueness. Some are blessed with the gift of dreams, while some aren’t. Most times I always find it hard to dream. But it happens to me once in a while. There are times when I dream but getting to wake up I forget about them.

I am still yet to observe and study the reason why it happens that way. I know there should be something that triggers that dream to exist. Maybe from too many worries, or maybe from stress. I can't say yet.

There are times when I daydream. This time the occurrences are bound to be related to reality. Maybe something has just happened to me or something is about to happen.

For example, the day before our convocation ceremony. I found it so hard to sleep. All my mind and thoughts were about how the ceremony would look, what movement am I going to make, my kind of outfit, and many others. When I slept I realized that all I dream about is nothing other than those imaginary images in my head.

Some people do say dreams come true. I can't deny or say otherwise about it. But I think dreams happen to us for some reason. We might not get the true meaning of the pictures we dream about. But if well thought about we would realize there is a reason for it happening.

There was a time I had a dream, I saw myself in a plane taking flight. I was happy exploring different places. I met with different people and had fun. I never gave meaning to the dream, but I had fun while sleeping that day.

The following day when I woke, I got a message that my international passport was ready for collection. This is something I have already forgotten about. I applied for months while I was in the East for my service year. I never thought of going back there again. Not until I got this message to pick it up.

I had to travel down to the east, meet with some of my old friends again, and spend some days with them before coming back home.

If I should term this, should I say it's related to the dream I had the night before I got the message?

I am used to fantasies so much. And this happens most times when I am done watching an interesting movie. Any movie that gets all of my attention ends up in fantasy for me.

Recently I watched a kdrama with a gifted guy. He fell in love with a lady from the beginning. But along the line fell in love with another. The first one was lovely but not fit for his future. The second was perfect for his future but he didn’t have her in the picture. Most times I see myself as that guy who failed to see his true wife and is just wasting his time with someone else.
