I'm very sorry to hear about the tire situation! I swear there must be some strange planetary alignment or something going on because the day our plumbing sprung a leak our son went out to his car to drive to a friend's house and his windshield was cracked more than halfway up. At first he wasn't sure why and then remembered a small rock hit his windshield the day before. We had a rapid temp change that day (50's to almost 80) so that probably caused a small crack or chip to spider out. After a little digging I found out that Subarus made after 2017 use extraordinarily thin OEM windshield glass, apparently to save weight, and are more prone to cracks than most other vehicles. This explains why we've had so many issues with our Subaru's windshields since 2017. I hope the damage is minimal to your wife's car and I hope things get better. Deep breaths. What a weird past few days!
