In Canada, owning a vehicle is very costly. Even with a modest capital outlay for a reasonably working vehicle often the annual cost of insurance premiums alone is more than the value of the vehicle. Add maintenance, repairs and fuel, Rather than owning a car I relied on public transportation. As much as I adore some of my patients, I cannot take my Nurse's work home with me.
