I totally agree with you here.

You can imagine having just a simple pass when you score 80%, compared to someone who scores 50%. It'll be difficult to tell you guys apart

Its just like when someone graduated with a 4.49 cgpa, he gets sad because even someone that graduated with a 3.5 is categorized as him too.

Yeah, I guess the grading system would be much better so people can know the level of their ability.
