Many of these "door-to-door" offers are scams. You agree to let them do the work, they need some funds up front to buy the shingles or whatever, and maybe you never see them again. OR, they start the work (or do something to make it "look" like they started), then they need more supplies, you give more money, then they vanish. I've heard of this, repeatedly. 🙁

Well, the good news is, they never bothered to show up yesterday for the evaluation, so while I am sure they will likely call me at some point, I have washed my hands of the whole ordeal!
