I find them very annoying and even have a no soliciting sign on the front door. It doesn't stop them... Many times when I see on now I don't even answer, maybe I'm just getting grumpy in my 50's. Not a bad idea to compare prices for your buddy though, but it sounds like the guy is a shady businessman who does poor work and never releases liens. Talk about poor business skills, he probably ends up getting sued fairly often as well... Maybe that's why he's forced to do door to door sales being desperate for business!

I think he represents a big company, so they are probably so big they don't really care who they screw over. I didn't even look out the window to see who it was before I opened the door, so I honestly thought it was going to be a kid!
