That's funny - I thought it was going to be a kid selling girl scout cookies.
In a way I have to give the guy props - sometimes it's scary to just cold knock on someone's door. Giving him the benefit of the doubt I would have listened to him but when he asked for the street, I would have given him the wrong one knowing that he wouldn't come back because his intentions likely weren't noble. He could have just been super nervous.. but a lot of that goodwill doesn't happen right now so it was likely a scam.
For me though, it would have given some entertainment at least!

Well, they ended up never calling to verify the appointment and nobody showed up next day for the supposed appointment, so at this point I am done with them. If they do call or show up I plan on telling them they missed their window. If I can't count on them to follow those simple things why would I trust them to work on my house!
