Maybe. I wish I had all the answers. I am not sure how it started matters unless it will help us diagnose a solution.
If we do not think something should be curated, there needs to be a good reason.
Is the reward pool strictly for authors or are we open to more use cases? I don't know. I think we all should have a bigger conversation about. It is hard to understand what are the kind of users we want to onboard and why.
I think this is an interesting question and I do hope we can figure out what the answer is. Maybe we won't? But it is worth trying to UNDERSTAND more people's perspective in my opinion.

I just replied to a user that said that spendhbd was exploiting the reward pool. But this same user made more the 20k Hive in the last 12mo from Posh, by using a shady account that spams AI spun articles.
He probably makes more then 99% of authors on Hive.
And it all comes from the reward pool! But what he does is not exploiting the reward pool?

Maybe that's the real issue, one is being curated, the other isn't from what I can tell.
