Learners and the listeners

In our Christian life we must grow spiritually.it either you grow or you die. The way you were last year isn't the same way you are this year.it important you grow. Talking about growth, food makes us grow, so we have to eat to grow.
What is the destiny of the Christian is not to make money not to build house and buy cars, the destiny of a Christian is to confirm to the image of Christ. If you are smaller than that image, you full of to the image, if you are higher than the image, then you slim down to the image.
Ask yourself a question before doing anything or taking any steps, this thing I want to do is it in Christ, or right. Once you confirm to the image of Christ, certain things cannot happen to you.
Hebrews 5:12 (KJV) For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God, and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
Hebrews 5:13 (KJV) For every one that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
The majority of churchgoers can be classified as babes, bench warmers. You are staying with your wife in your house, and you are not talking to each other, then you are both babies.
Those that are mature and not babies are the ones that know the right thing, like reading the Bible, staying only and doing what would make them grow in Christ, but spiritual babies aren't concerned about all this, whether they grow or not.
They are certain things in life that the bible call foundation doctrine. Foundation means your starting point, if they are still preaching repentant to you, you are still in the primary school of Christ.
Romans 15:4 (KJV) For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. We are supposed to be learners,
There are 5 types of learners.
•Those who are aware.
•There are those who can recall information. They lack the ability to interpret information.
•There are those that are at an understanding level
•There are those at the conviction level:to determine that certain things is good for my life.
Ask yourself again, are you a learner. When you come to church, are you a learner or just a listener.
There are two types of listeners
Revelation 3:20 (KJV) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hears my voice, and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
•weak listeners
•aggressive listeners
Who are a weak listener
The weak listeners are those that come to church and never give a second thought about what he or she heard in Christ.
Who is an aggressive listener
An aggressive listener adheres to whatever he or she listens to in the church, and also wants to listen to more, he thinks constantly how he can apply this to is life.
