RE: Trump is threatening Taiwan with imposing tariffs on its chip industry, unbelievable but true. Here is what is behind this move.

This move will cripple so much business in the US and abroad. I don't think these people realise how long it takes to build a foundry.

This effects will be felt for at least a decade, and will make themselves apparent pretty rapidly.

It isn't like making a paper aeroplane. At least the US has plenty of sand with which to make chips :D
