Dolphin !?!

I hadn’t even noticed this small detail… the fact that I had already reached Dolphin status 🐬
It just shows that sometimes we keep moving forward without really realizing how far we’ve come. Step by step, without paying too much attention, things are actually progressing.

Of course, after noticing that, I looked at the next level… and yeah 😅
That’s where things get serious. The next rank requires around 61,573 HP, which is clearly not happening anytime soon. At my current pace, it feels more like a very long-term goal… maybe even something I’ll never reach, who knows.

Right now, I have 9,388 HP, so the next realistic milestone would be 10,000 HP. That alone would already be a great achievement. A nice round number, and more importantly, a clear sign that I’m still moving forward.

When I look at my current earnings, I’m averaging about 4 HP per day from curation… and that’s on good days 😄
So yeah, I’m not going to skyrocket anytime soon, but that’s okay. I’d rather grow slowly and steadily than rush things and burn out.

At the moment, I’m going through a very busy work period, so I don’t really have the time to be as active as I’d like on Hive. Because of that, I rely on my little curation bot 🤖
It’s far from perfect, but it helps maintain some activity, generate a bit of curation rewards, and keep things moving in the background.

For now, my curation returns and voting mana are relatively stable, which is already a good sign.
The goal isn’t just to maintain this, but to gradually improve and optimize everything.

I’m especially waiting for my vacation in about 4 weeks to really focus on improving my bot. I already have several ideas to make it more efficient and smarter in how it selects posts.

Currently, it mainly votes on:

• posts with more than 500 words
• authors with a good reputation
• accounts that are not blacklisted

Well… at least in theory 😅
Because in practice, there are still things to fix, and I definitely need to refine those criteria to avoid mistakes.

Here are some of the improvements I want to work on:

• better filtering based on reputation
• improving the mana calculation displayed
• more accurate tracking of curation rewards
• reviewing and optimizing the blacklist
• and especially finding a way to detect copy-pasted content (whether from Peakd or elsewhere on the internet)

And that last point is probably going to be the hardest. I’ll need to learn quite a lot to figure out how to do that properly.

In the end, even if the progress is slow, it’s still real.
And that’s what matters most.

Every HP earned, every improvement to the bot, every small adjustment… it all adds up over time. You don’t always notice it day by day, but in the long run, it makes a real difference.

At the same time, my token progression is also moving forward. My current goal on @benef.bbho is to reach 20k BBHO, and I’m getting closer step by step. Again, it’s all about consistency and patience.

In the end, everything follows the same idea: keep moving forward, keep learning, keep adjusting… and keep going.

No matter the speed, as long as the direction is right.
