1000 Hive Power remaining to become an Orca
I managed again to power up 1000 Hive today and thereby lengthening my tradition to do so at the beginning of each month. I might sound like a broken record but it's getting more difficult to do so every month...
How I managed to collect 1000 Hive this month
This month has been extremely tough to collect hive and I had to actually take away liquidity from splinterlands pools to reach it. Since the return in these pools is not that much higher than what I get with curation, it was easier to take this decision that I expected.
I only need around 1000 HP more to reach the rank of Orca !
In spite of renouncing my HBD goals, I still didn't close the gap
Two month ago, I had decided to drop my HBD goals and concentrate my efforts on HP to reach my goal of 60'000 HP at the end of the year. In spite of that, I couldn't close the gap.

When I look at the situation today, after 83.3% of the year have passed. I'm still around 4% behind my benchmark for HP. The gap is still the same than last month. So at least it doesn't get bigger. I continue to record the numbers for HBD but I don't aim to achieve my goal anymore.
My Hive power has increased by 1604 in this month. 1000 coming from the monthly power up. The rest from author and curation rewards.

I created 7 posted in October, which is better than in September but still below what I want to reach. Hopefully, I will be able to increase the number of posts this month. Lately, I seem to struggle to come up with good ideas for posts... I need some inspiration it seems.

I understand your frustration about struggling to come up with good ideas for posts. It can be difficult to be creative and original all the time.

That's a pretty good Power Up man. I think you can be orca next month. I have a goal to get there slowly haha. Maybe if I trade very well in the next bull run, I can be there sooner. We will see together. Good luck with your goal!
I remember when I reached 200 Hive Power and how stoked I was at that time because I was starting to earn curation rewards lol. By taking one step at a time and being consistent it's possible to scale your HP. Good luck to you too :-)

Rebalancing is always needed , I am also selling assets like Vouchers , DEC to fund HP growth.
I have been reducing my SL position continually over the year. I still believe in the game but I want to reduce my financial exposure.
I think your achievements for the entire year has been pretty amazing nonetheless!
I have to admit that I'm pretty happy with my monthly power up's. I didn't expect I would be able to keep this tradition alive that long :-)

Congratulations on achieving your 1k power-up again. It really impresses me that you're managing to do it month after month despite it's getting harder and harder.
Each month, I tell myself that next month it won't be possible... Then I manage all the same in a way or another :-)

You have done a great job, powering up 1000 hive is not easy as you have said, thought it was a quick decision to take out liquidity from splinter lands, but it hurts for sure.
I have been reducing my exposure in Splinterlands over time. I still have a lot of assets, mainly NFT's in the game and I think it's good to even things out and get some more Hive Power :-)

I did many much smaller power ups in the past. It's a process and the most important thing is to do it consitently with an amount that is possible for you :-)
Of course it is very good you also participate in it every month this thing is very good for the project and I also try to do the same if I get a good job I will also participate in the same way every month.
Just for your information, all the money for my power ups comes from what I do on the chain (games, tokens, tribes,...). It's the result of spending 5 years or more on the blockchain :-)

I need to do this. I am in so many of these tokens and pools that have benefits lower than 8%. I need to just sell them all for Hive and focus on the big one.
In some pools APR is a bit higher but in the end it also depends what kind of reward you get. I prefer to get 11% from curation and organic growth for HP than 15% in SPS...
