RE: Thoughts on Self-hosting

How much does it cost you in electricity, in kwh per month? I know giving an accurate figure is going to be hard so a vague approximation would be np.

I host around 70-80 docker containers as well as a few vms on Ryzen mini pcs. All clustered with sub 3 minute fail over.

Everything is extremely fast, and the entire cluster is less than 100W w/ 2.5Gbit switches and 10Gbit backend. The cluster, the switches (4), come in at around 100W last I checked. I also have a dual 10Gbit 60TB NAS that's about 55W. I pay roughly double wattage per year, so 100W costs me about $200/yr.

Oh right - 100W is doable - 60 TB of NAS - That's a gulp
