I did enjoy it. I always find it remarkable that you can go from nothing in the garden to everything in full flush. I never planted an almond though I felt I should - I heard their blossom is beautiful. It must be a lot of effort for little reward to eat the nuts so I always put it off. YOu did remind me to order a bare rooted apple though - I keep forgetting. I love Facebook for sharing excess plants with the neighbourhood. The oxeye grows wild in some parts of Victoria here though it's not a native - so no wonder it is doing fine, it's pretty hardy!
