What do you mean by submission? Would both partners be submitting to each other, or is it just one person submitting to the other?

Because I believe that it's one thing to give yourself to the other person and another way different to be submitted by them. And in my view, a healthy marriage is one where both partners give themselves to each other as equals, there are no hierarchies, no person is better than another, and there is no submission. Is like you said, it's a bond between to people that love each other and want to build a life together.
