RE: The Science of Discernment: 10 Questions for Accurate Data Interpretation

(Reflection on the last two paragraphs)
In biblical counseling, having compassion and understanding the counselee is necessary. However, a counselor must avoid allowing personal experiences as a standard for interpretation. Counselor's experience, be it personal or with previous counselee, should not interfere with the current counselee. The counselor should not replace careful data gathering and biblical evaluation with their personal experiences. Counselors must bear in mind that their goal is to understand the individual’s situation accurately and guide them according to the truth of God’s Word. In this way, counseling remains centered not on human assumptions, but on biblical wisdom and objective care.
