In the time.of our fathers (ancestor), in the field of medicine, I can say that it were a difficult time for them as they ignorantly thought through superstition that one disease or the other per time and place is caused because of one crop or evil deed or the other.
For common chicken pox, our fathers were killing innocent chicken and goat for sacrifice. What a life. Knowledge is power, indeed.
