View Master. It was epic. I have one with a 5w tungsten bulb built in. My dad also got me a set of slide show mini projector that uses a 15w bulb to emit back light. It can project the 70s Hong Kong film on to the wall. Needless to say, both became victims of my private science project with upgraded high watt bulbs and almost didn't burn down the house. The handheld version after I cracked it open, I couldn't put them back together. There's way too much mechanism for a 6 year old back in the 80s without a YouTube tutorial to help fix a problem. The mini projector I manage to put them back together with way stronger light bulb, whilst I was happy to have finally make the projected pictures bigger on the wall, and then I started to smell burning plastics, before I figured it was from the mini projector, the picture on the wall started to twirl and by the time I look back, the entire mini projector engulfs into a ball of flame. Since then, no more View Master for me.
