When I read about wars or learn about past wars and their impact on human civilization, I just become silent, thinking about how cruel we are! The famous lines from “Strange Meeting” (1918) by Wilfred Owen, a famous World War I anti-war poem, in which two enemy soldiers meet and talk about the reality of the war for humankind.
Dear @tanzil2024 !
Hassan!
I thought “Strange Meeting” (1918) was a literary work written by a British person!
It is a very tragic situation when strangers fight each other in war!
By the way, East Asian historians like myself felt the tragedy of war as we looked at the past events in which Bangladeshi women waged war against Pakistan!
The fact that even Bangladeshi women went to war while Bangladesh was suffering from starvation and poverty due to exploitation by Pakistan for over 20 years is the greatest tragedy!
I thought the Bangladesh War of Independence was closer to reality because it was a historical event that took place just 56 years ago!
What do you think about the fact that Bangladeshi women waged war against Pakistan?
